What is the cheapest guided quail hunt in Tennessee?

The cheapest number is usually a fee, not a hunt

We sell guided hunts, and some of the outfitters below list with us. Payne Quail Farm publishes $60 per shooter for quail in Tennessee, and that is a grounds fee: no guide, no dogs, and its own copy says to call for bird pricing. Cumberland Fields Sportsman's Club publishes $150, and that is a guide and dogs fee, with quail at $18 a bird on a 20-bird minimum, so the least it sells is $150 plus 20 birds, or $510.

R and D Adventures prices quail at $8.50 a bird on top of a $65 half-day guide fee. The pattern is worth carrying into every Tennessee quail price you read: the lowest number on the page is often what it costs to walk in, and the birds are billed after it. A fee and a hunt price are different products, and only one of them compares to anything.

So what's the total for a Tennessee quail hunt?

Of the 54 Tennessee quail packages here, 32 publish a total for the whole hunt, and those come from 12 of the 21 outfitters. They run $250 to $6,500, the middle one is $500, and half of them sit between $372 and $762. The $6,500 is a full day for up to four hunters with an overnight stay, not a price per gun.

Two of the prices below need a second gun before they exist. Windy Hill Farm & Preserve's $400 per hunter and Baggenstoss Farms' $365 per gun both take a minimum of two hunters, so the smallest booking is $800 at one and $730 at the other. Self-guided hunts reach $250 as well, and what that money buys is the birds — no guide, no dogs.

Nine of the 21 outfitters publish no comparable quail price at all. Seventeen of them carry Google reviews: 533 in all, averaging 4.85, with the newest left in June 2026. Count the one-stars too: there are seven.

What comes with a Tennessee quail hunt, and what you have to ask

Three things decide the total: how many birds you shoot, how many guns book with you, and whether a guide and dogs are in the price. The last one is usually published. Dogs come with 44 of the 53 packages that list what they include, a guide with 40, lodging with 12, meals with 19, and 17 of them will clean your birds.

The bird count is the one that is not. Eleven of those 53 packages name the birds inside the price, and they count in whatever unit suits: 15 quail on one, 20 quail with 5 pheasant and 5 chukar on another, a standard bird package, unlimited birds. The other 42 do not mention birds at all, and that includes the $250 hunt this page leads with.

Ask that before you ask anything else.

The birds are on private ground, and the season runs longer

The 21 outfitters we hold quail packages for all hunt private preserves or private land, which is why their calendar is not the state's. Tennessee's wild quail season, which the state sets again each year, runs November 7 to February 28; the preserves publish longer ones at both ends, with Meadow Brook listing November 1 to March 15 and Craig Game Preserve mid-October to April 1.

Twenty-two of the 54 quail packages also run pheasant, which is worth knowing before you compare two prices that are not buying the same birds.
