★★★★★Elk hunting experience with the outfitter was very good. This was a elk hunting trip into the Powderhorn Wilderness area near Lake City Colorado which is south of Blue Mesa Reservoir. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodations were very good. Loved the oversize cots and thick sleeping pads. Remember this is a primitive hunt and the outfitter tents were good with both wood stove and propane heater. Food was very very good, the wranglers for the horses were experts and the horses used to ride to the elk hunting area were user friendly for novices. They bend over backwards to ensure your needs are met. I would definitely use them again. If you want a remote style hunting experience with very little pressure from other hunters use this outfit! I would definitely use them again. Oh I did harvest a bull elk! We had fresh elk back-strap in camp!
