Powderhorn Primitive Outfitters offers guided and self-guided hunts in Colorado's Powderhorn Primitive Area (Units 66 & 67) for elk, mule deer, moose, and bear, featuring tent base camps and horse packing into high country. They also provide guided Eastern Plains hunts (Unit 105) for pronghorn antelope, mule deer, and Merriam's turkey, with lodging in a comfortable bunk house on a working ranch. This veteran and retired law enforcement-owned outfitter focuses on delivering challenging and rewarding hunting experiences in diverse Colorado terrains.
Merriam Turkey Hunts Available. Two Days Hunting, Fully Guided With Room and Board.
Three full days in the field — fully guided, with room and board included, so all you have to think about is the hunt. Whether you shoot archery, muzzleloader, or rifle, we’ve got a spot for you. It’s you and the open country, grinding through wind and distance, working for the chance to take an antelope that refuses to come easy.
2 hunters will be brought into the wilderness for 5 days of hunting on foot. Archery, muzzle loader, or first rifle. Hunters must bring own meals. No single hunter option.

Our horses pack you into the high country and get you where the elk live. In the later seasons, we can switch it up to motorized transportation to keep you mobile and in the game.
