First class everything. Quality of service and everyone there is top notch. Can’t say enough amazing things about everyone there. From the food (if you leave a meal hungry that’s your fault) to the service and hospitality. The rooms are cozy. The stay is peaceful. You won’t find a better place or experience. I’d give it 10 stars if possible.

Our family has hunted with these outfitters for years, and after hearing so many incredible stories, the women in our family finally had the chance to experience it for ourselves. What truly sets this place apart, though, are the owners, Sandy and Justin. They are genuinely kind, incredibly accommodating, and make every guest feel like family. Just got back from my first ever black bear hunt. Had an absolute blast. My guide Erica, was fabulous and I swear she is part mountain goat the way she goes up those hills. Justin and Sandy were great. Johnny, Andrew, and Cedar were always eager to help. The hospitality was above and beyond my expectations. Not to mention, this was the most beautiful place I have ever visited. The cabins were clean and cozy, and I slept like a rock every night with a full belly. Lord willing I will be back next year for another bear and an elk in 2029. Thanks again to everyone at Mule Shoe Outfitters for a truly once in a lifetime experience.

Cody took us out for cow elk. He was relentless, and followed every good elk track he could find. He’s got great knowledge of the area and I’d trust him with any hunt. These outfitters are committed to putting in hard work to get you a great hunting experience. If I draw a tag next year, I’ll hire them again. We went horseback riding for 2 hours. The office staff was excellent. The ride itself…Emma took our pictures with her phone, by her insistence, and said she would send them to us. We called the next day because we never received them and they said she would text them to us. She never did. We have no pictures of our day because we were told to leave our phones in our saddles and she would handle the pictures for us. Erica, the other guide, was wonderful. The views during the ride were beautiful.
