Bighorn Sheep hunting is another one of our passions. Our ten-day hunt starts by packing a camp in with horses and mules, mainly hunting by foot and using backpacks. Our main technique is glassing from vantage points, and being in the best physical shape will increase your odds of taking a trophy ram.

Mule Shoe Outfitters has two base camps for our 7 day Elk hunts in area 96, typically harvesting bulls in the 280 to 340 inch range. Base camps consist of wall tents with cots and propane heaters. We limit our camps to 4 hunters for the week to assure a more quality hunt.

Our antelope hunts are done mainly on private ground with large tracts of BLM surrounding them, with all accommodations at the Lodge. We offer 3-day antelope hunts with great archery opportunities, as well as rifle, to harvest a good mature 14" plus buck. We start hunting antelope September 10th through the end of October.

We have a 5-day wilderness Mule Deer hunt in region H, which is a horseback hunt from one of our base camps. We have a lot of open country where bachelor groups of bucks hang out, making glassing a big part of this hunt. September 15th is opening day, and we also offer hunts in areas 141/162 during October.

Our 6-day black bear hunt is offered during the spring over active baits in remote areas. This hunt makes a great archery experience, as well as rifle or handgun. We are consistent in taking mature boars with good color phases.

Our 7-day Shiras Moose hunt in area 5 will be a horseback hunt out of one of our base camps or from the lodge. Rifle season opens October 1st thru October 31st, and Archery season opens September 1st. On average we are harvesting good mature bulls.
