Dry ground hunting offers a unique lion hunting experience. It is one of the most challenging yet rewarding hunts we offer. We typically recommend this hunt for people who have already killed a cat during our winter hunts or hunters who are seeking the challenges faced with dry ground hunting. A typical day of hunting will start before daylight cutting roads for tracks from truck and atv’s, followed by riding horses on short loops.

Colorado Unit 61 elk hunting is hands down some best in the state and has been the heart of our operation for over a decade. This is a great unit for harvesting a respectable bull. Hunts are fully furnished, 1 on 1 guided, and 7 days long.

This semi-guided package includes lodging and meals for 7 days. A guide will be available every night to check on you and help you plan the next day's hunt. We will also bring our mules to help you with meat pack outs when you are successful.

Colorado unit 40 elk hunting offers an experience all of its own. This high desert unit is located right on the Utah border. Lodging is a wall tent camp located on private property with all the luxuries needed for a comfortable week of hunting including large cots, quality bedrolls, wood, and propane heat with each client getting his own 12x14 wall tent. Full camp style meals are also included.

This high desert plateau holds some great mule deer hunting and is likely one of the best options in the state to harvest a respectable deer for the points required to draw. Its open country allows us to glass and efficiently hunt the deer in the area. So be prepared to spend a lot of time using binoculars and spotting scopes while hunting here.
Guided Mule Deer Unit 61 Hunt

Hunters can expect bucks 165-180 with several bigger bucks being taken every year. 3rd season is often a low country hunt, muzzleloader season is higher country glassing for bachelor groups.
It’s no question that unit 61 has proven itself as a top trophy producing unit. We recommend mule deer hunting either 3rd season or muzzleloader season. The terrain is moderate in this unit allowing us to accommodate hunters of varying physical abilities. Lodging on this hunt will be based out of our main camp located in this unit.
Guided Mule Deer Unit 62 Hunt

Tags are easier to draw due to higher number of elk hunters.
Unit 62 is another really good unit for harvesting a respectable deer for the points required to draw. Bordering unit 61, it offers the same quality genetics and a little more diverse terrain to hunt them in. The deer reside in different areas from the majority of the elk allowing us to avoid some of the pressure during our hunt.

Obtaining a tag can be the hardest part of the hunt. Hunts can be custom built to achieve the exact experience you are looking for, fitting anybody’s financial or physical abilities. Options include basic truck/UTV hunt to packing into remote areas with mules and staying out of spike camps or running the river in a boat.
In Colorado we offer hunts in desert sheep units S-56 & S-62. We have lots of options and in most situations can accommodate hunters of any physical condition. To date we have had 100% success on all our sheep hunts.
