There aren’t enough stars to give Yellowstone Outfitters. This trip exceeded every expectation we had. Brandon and Kendra have built something really special. They’re genuine, welcoming, and you can tell they truly care about their guests, their horses, and creating an unforgettable experience. Every wrangler we met was incredible too. They were knowledgeable, fun, hardworking, and made everyone feel comfortable and confident. The horseback riding, backcountry camping, and fly fishing were absolutely amazing. The scenery was breathtaking, the horses were fantastic, and every day brought a new adventure. It was the perfect mix of excitement, peace, and making memories we’ll never forget. If you’re even thinking about booking a trip, don’t hesitate. It was worth every penny, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Brandon, Kendra, and the whole Yellowstone Outfitters crew for an experience we’ll cherish forever.

There are trips you enjoy, and then there are trips that change you. Our five days with Yellowstone Outfitter were hands down the most unforgettable adventure we’ve ever had. From the breathtaking scenery and incredible horses to the amazing people who made us feel like family, every single day exceeded our expectations. Being completely unplugged from the outside world was exactly what we didn’t know we needed. It gave us the chance to slow down, soak in every view, and appreciate every moment. Everything was first class, authentic, and beautifully done. If you’re even thinking about booking this trip, do it. It’s an experience you’ll be talking about for years. Without a doubt, 10 out of 10. We can’t wait to come back.

Yellowstone Outfitters was fantastic from start to finish. McKinley greeted us as soon as we pulled in and was super friendly and conversational. Cooper was great as our trail guide. He shared information about the area as we rode and was very patient with our family. We had an awesome 2 hr ride and saw fantastic views!
★★★★★
Im so glad I was able to experience this. I called around 10am and was able to get a ride for two people at 2pm the same day, for a one hour ride. MJ was a great horse for my mom, very easy going. Jazzy was great for me as well, very easy to handle. Cooper was an awesome guide, very informative of the native plants and wildlife. He even spotted a Mule Deer and a grouse for us to see, like 20ft away! Unfortunately it decided to rain for only the time we were riding lol but the horses didnt care and we didnt care. We had a blast anyways, even riding through a stream a couple of times.
★★★★★
We have ridden at Yellowstone Outfitters twice now and both times the rides were amazing. The wranglers were very friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure my son was comfortable on his horse but didn’t treat him any differently than they would anyone else. It’s amazing when you find a company and staff that don’t point out the disability and focus on the ability.
★★★★★
If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience in the Grand Tetons, this horseback ride is a must-do! Riding through the mountains was absolutely breathtaking and truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Our guide, Matt, was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and shared so much information about the area, including the local plants, wildlife, and the history of the Tetons. His passion for the region made the ride even more enjoyable and meaningful. The scenery was beyond beautiful, and the entire experience was well worth every penny. You definitely get your money’s worth with the incredible views, the quality of the ride, and the memories you’ll make. I would recommend this horseback riding experience over any other in the area. If you’re visiting the Grand Tetons, don’t miss it!
★★★★★
Great ride with just my family. Beautiful scenery and stop to view the Tetons. Our guide Max was excellent! Highly recommend Yellowstone Outfitters.
★★★★★
We enjoyed a 4 hour ride with Max as our guide. He was knowledgeable and made our ride very enjoyable. My daughter and I were able to go out without being added to a larger group so we were able to cover quite a bit of distance. McKinley was also kind enough to entertain us for almost an hour as we arrived early for our scheduled ride.
★★★★★
Absolutely wonderful ride through the real Tetons! This is NOT a “nose to tail” tourist pony ride. We climbed over 1000 feet of picturesque mountain terrain inside the Bridger-teton National forest. Matthew was the best guide i have ever ridden with: friendly, knowledgeable, and let us be free. Good, sturdy horses for my large frame. Well cared for. Will come back for sure. Go with the private ride if you wanna get away from the zoo that is YNP. 🤠🇺🇸🤘

We had an absolutely amazing ride on June 1st with Joey! Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!

The 5 star reviews are before Brandon inherited the business. Save your points and book with a professional outfitter and not an entitled kid who thinks you are in camp to serve him. Camp is average, animals are over hunted and Brandon’s immaturity is evident by his entitled attitude and screaming and yelling. I killed the biggest elk in their camp last year and I would absolutely not hunt with this outfit again. Just a hunch of kids who can shoe a horse but can’t operate a business.
★★★★★
A bucket list experience. This is the trail ride to book. Don't hesitate. We booked Yellowstone Outfitters based on the previous reviews and photos which showed smaller groups than other providers. We really wanted a more tailored, personal experience rather than sitting in a convoy of 10-15 other people. Our dream was that our trail ride would be just ourselves with a cowboy, and therefore were immeasurably pleased when this turned out to be the case. Absolutely no riding experience is required. I've grown up with horses whilst my wife has never ridden and we both enjoyed the experience. Our cowboy Joey was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and endearing. He checked in with us regularly, chatted to us about his life, the ranch and the Grand Tetons at length. His passion and interest added to the experience. The trail itself is diverse, interesting and a photographers dream. We can't fault the experience from start to finish.

Sehr freundlich, der Guide Joe führte uns sicher und kümmerte sich um alle Teilnehmer. Die Pferde waren gut trainiert und gepflegt. Ein sehr schöner Ausritt!
★★★★★
My friends & I went on a tour with Kaleb, & he was wonderful. He was so kind & patient, & also very knowledgeable about flora & fauna on the trail. The horses did a great job too! Would go again, & would recommend to anyone considering a trip.
★★★★★
Truly a bucket list outing! Joey took us out on Curly Sue and Jazzy and we had a great time. Joey is a wealth of information and a true horse aficionado. Matthew has a great sense of humor too. The views throughout the ride are incredible. You have to meet Doug, Pee Wee, and Buzz. If you’re lucky Doug will tell will tell you a secret.
★★★★★
Great ride! My family & I had a great time. Beautiful views! Definitely would ride with them again!

Joe brought us on our own trail ride with just our family and it was absolutely fabulous. We have a 7 and 10 year old and they made sure our kids were taken we’ll care of! Thank you for the amazing time! We loved it!!!
★★★★★
We had a lovely ride with gentle horses and really friendly staff

Went horseback riding for an hour with my friends, the views were unreal!! The sweetest staff and cutest horses, totally recommend!

Once in a lifetime experience! My brothers and I booked Wyoming Outfitters for our first elk hunt and had an absolute blast. Brandon, Kendra and the rest of their team were amazing! Everyone from the guides to the packers and Camp Cook were professional, knowledgeable and kind. The ride into hunting camp was stunning. Pictures can’t do the majesty of the scenery any justice. Each day we rode between 2-8 hours to get to a hunting location that was promising. The weather during our trip was warmer than usual, so we had to ride up to higher elevation in order to find any elk that were more than happy to wait out for colder weather before starting their normal migration, but thankfully, we had Kendra as our guide. She was incredible and had been guiding for seven years. She knew every trail and location and once she knew our physical capabilities (we are all in our early to mid-40’s) she pushed us hard to get to fairly remote locations in the Yellowstone Valley in order to get an opportunity to shoot a bull. We learned about the family history of the outfitter and she shared a tremendous amount of knowledge about elk hunting in general and was never too busy to answer any of our many questions as this was our first elk hunt Thanks to her efforts my brothers and I all tagged out and are bringing home meat for the freezer, mounts for the wall and most importantly memories that will last a lifetime. The food served at both breakfast and dinner (lunch was packed out and eaten on the trail) was cooked up by Liv and was incredible. Despite being 30 miles from civilization and in the middle of nowhere, she prepared delicious meals for nearly 20 people twice daily. Camp life was austere, but comfortable and we slept in canvas tents on cots with mattresses and sleeping bags on top. Each tent was heated with a wood stove. If you’re thinking of booking an elk hunt in Wyoming, I highly recommend booking with Yellowstone Outfitters. 10/10 would recommend to family and friends!

Did a 2hr ride today with my 12 years old son with Hanna. She was a great guide. Danny made the horses ready in a very short notice. All in all a good experience!
★★★★★
★★★★☆
Did a half day ride with my family, 4 of us, from 10 to 50 years old. Everyone did well, our guide Alyssa was great. My horse was slow and stubborn. Kids horses were fun for them... slow down and trot to catch up. Scenery and ride was just a bit boring as your just doing circles up and down and around in the woods. But the company was great to work with, and we got there a bit early but they were ready and we got set up and sent out.
★★★★★
My husband & I loved it!! Thank you to our guide, Joey, for making our ride fabulous & taking our pictures. Perfect views & well worth the money.
★★★★★
Our family (mom, dad, 18yo and 25yi) did a 2 hr ride with Joey. What a blast! Joey was so nice and a great guide. We are not horse riders and he was always checking we were ok and that our equipment was on the horse appropriately. All of our horses were so sweet! But the best part was the plateau with views of Buffalo Vally that went on for days. Joey got some amazing family pictures. From the moment we arrived till we got off the horses everyone was great. Highly recommend!
★★★★★
Absolutely the best elk hunt offered in the west! The only flaw with this review system. I can only give 5 stars!
★★★★★
If you are looking for an outfitter in Wyoming, these are the guys to go with, no doubt. My Dad and I (who flew in from Canada) went on an 8-day roving pack trip with Brandon and Kendra, who are both amazingly talented people. Everyone including their staff was great and even booked us into a last minute slot on the pack trip only weeks before leaving. Some things I didn't know (or forgot) about the outfitter until I was on the trip: - 3rd or 4th generation outfitter, lots of stories and a great legacy behind the business - Travelled to the most remote location of the lower 48 states - Lots of accredited/decorated individuals who have great relationships with this outfitter - They have a long standing hunting camp that allows access to greater areas of the BT National Forest, that no other outfitter has Overall, I can't say it enough, Brandon and Kendra + all of the staff I met were amazing and made the trip of a lifetime.
★★★★★
Great ride with a great guide! Thanks for having us!
