He set me up with Chris for a float trip on the New Fork River. I’ve fished with a number of guides over the years and Chris is one of the best. He is very personable and knowledgeable of the river. ★★★★★Our guide, Chris Weber, was a phenomenal guide for us on the Upper Green! It was certainly not a fishing trip to forget since we got to experience all four seasons of Wyoming in eight hours with some heavy rain and slush/sleet at the lunchtime break. Chris was very knowledgeable of the water and put us on some good holes. Conditions made it tough to produce with weather changing so much in afternoon, but still landed several nice browns and white fish on nymphs and hopper/dropper. Chris was pleasure to ride with, provided great pointers for our experience, and was prepared to adapt for the fish/weather, rain or shine or wind, to help provide us with a great experience.

★★★★★As a former guide back in college 30 + years ago, I’ve had the privilege to guide eastern Idaho and Alaska and learned from some of the most talented guides and outfitters. You might wonder why I’m writing this review. Well because I’ve known Ryan for over a decade and became friends when we first met and hired Ryan in his early years. We have since fished with WFC many times since. I knew back then that Ryan’s business would thrive purely based on his fishing skills, patience and instinct. My wife and I and many of our close friends have had the pleasure to fish with Ryan and his top notch guides many times. We were even privileged to fish with Cyndle a few times in the early years. She is one of the best fly fishers I have ever met. Western Wyoming where WFC is based is an incredibly diverse yet stark landscape, The High Lonesome as Kurt has named it lives up to its name. We have had many successful trips over many miles of western Wyoming with WFC guides. Ryan, Cyndle Jake, Jax and Kurt have all helped us catch and release many of these incredible fish in the high lonesome and made the experiences memorable. Additionally we have become better fly fishers and friends as a result. Ryan has assembled a crew of some of the hardest working, talented, and kindest guides in the business. And to top it off they are all defenders and stewards of this fishery. Hire them with confidence! You won’t be disappointed! But don’t hesitate, they fill up fast.

It had a few unique elements, but his communication and helpfulness made everything come together smoothly. Another highlight was how uncrowded the river felt. Even though it was April, I only saw two other boats all day. It was a refreshing change from busier rivers where you often feel shoulder-to-shoulder with other anglers.

Our guide, Jake Martinez, talked to us & genuinely wanted to hear our stories & told us about his relatives that served. We enjoyed spending the day with both of them. Both were very generous with their knowledge of the area, places to fish, and fishing tactics for the sections of the river we fished. I should also note that communication with Ryan (the owner) before the trip was excellent. He put together a program that was exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend the Wyoming Fishing Company to anyone wanting to fish in and around southwest Wyoming.

You can tell he genuinely cares about giving his clients the best possible experience. If you’re thinking about fishing this area, Ryan is the guy you want in your boat.
