★★★★★We had five hunters this past weekend on a turkey hunt, and although we did not harvest a turkey, we had a great time. We caught a bunch of fish from the pond in between our hunts, which we were equally pleased with. My wife and I went on our guided hunt with Ray. He was a friendly, knowledgeable and all around impressive guide. We made great conversation to and from the hunting grounds and he was overall very nice. I would highly recommend Woods N Water for all of your turkey hunting, fishing and other game!

★★★☆☆While the guide, Andrew, was great and the property was beautiful, out of three hunters, we all left empty handed after two days of morning and night hunts. First day, we all seen nothing. Second day, two spikes, a small doe, and a small buck. We were aware this was a fair chase outfitter, but I wouldn’t reccomend going if you’re not okay walking away completely empty handed. There was 10+ hunters with no luck today. If you set your intentions on basically a “semi guided” hunting lease for $575 a day, where you may not see anything at all, then you will be set.

He's an outstanding caller with a true passion for chasing these birds. These two old guys enjoyed talking with outstanding young man and learning from all his experience. He made the hunt very fun! Thank you Will for working so hard for us. We will get them next time for sure. Hope to see Will become a regular at Woods and Water! 4/23 Had an awesome 2 day Turkey hunt with Chris. He is a great guide and did an amazing job calling. Both mornings we had them so close, but couldn’t get them to take that last step. Chris was very helpful sharing information on how to Turkey hunt and I learned a lot from him. Looking forward to deer season and coming back next year for Turkey. Thanks again to Chris for all the hard working getting us near the turkeys.

★★★★★Me and my brother booked a two night hog hunt and both of us killed pigs on the second night, i wasnt even in my stand for 20 minutes before I had a pig come out and my brother took his not long after dark when a group of about 15 or more came out. Ray was our guide and he told us he was going to put us right on them and he did exactly that, and he was a great guy to chat with as well. If you're wanting to hunt some pigs and have a great time this is the place!

The both guides worked hard & did what it took to get the job done. Really good team they have. The property is spread out, some 30 mins from each other. Really nice stands, they had office chairs in some of them. I harvested 2 deer and I will definitely be back.

★★★★★Let me start by saying the accommodations of this hunting lodge are exactly what I would expect. Bunk rooms, good gathering area, ample kitchen. The outside even better, awesome fishing during the down times. Catch and release of course going there for hogs but the experience and area right outside the cabin is beyond compare. The guides, Jesse, Jack, Ryan, Ted...wouldn't trade them for anything. They become part of the family moments after arrival. Knowledgeable and dedicated to making your trip a hunt to remember. Book confidently here. There really isn't a reason to look anywhere else. **updating as it’s been a few more trips and a couple more years since my original review*** I continue to feel the same as I did previously. Special mention goes out to a new guide since I wrote my original review, Will. We talk regularly through the year and he has become a fast friend. He has also been joined by Cole and Chris who also go out of their way to help you have a great experience. Yet more quality additions to Woods-N-Water. This really is a phenomenal place to take a trip! I also did not mention Mrs. Melanie, she’s an incredible asset as well. I’ve never once spoken with her and not been able to see her smile through the phone in her voice and how she treats you with exceptional customer service and scheduling. Big thanks goes out to the entire team!
★★★★★First time here! Got a 3 day deer hunting trip as a gift for my husband and he couldn't say enough about it! Comfortable lodging, small town right down the street if you need anything as well. His guide was Jack and he was amazing! Didn't get anything this trip but it was warm and late in the season but will definitely be back next year! Shout out to Melanie who helped set everything up, explained everything, kept in touch and was so courteous and understanding! Can't say enough about Woods N Water, definitely recommend!!
★★★★★My Uncle and I had a 5-day hunt in October and we had the best time. Will and Zane were our guides and were absolutely awesome and Jesse was always willing to answer any questions we had. My uncle has some mobility issues, but they went out of their way to help us get the best experience possible! We saw a ton of deer and unfortunately, I missed the biggest deer I had ever seen but not their fault. We both ended up getting a doe, but I would absolutely recommend this place!! They put us on the deer every time and we’re very knowledgeable about the air movement and wind. I came home with a seven point 195 lb. Buck and a hog in two days. Very happy about my hunt. ★☆☆☆☆If I could give less than one star I would. Woods-N-Water was my first guided hunt I have ever done. They set the bar so low that I don't think I could ever be disappointed with a different outfitter. I will say my partner and I were able to successfully take two wild hogs. Due to their guides laziness both hogs sat and rotted in the cooler that was broke. The guides were aware of the cooler malfunction and did nothing about it. The guide knowing the cooler was broke still continued to let the hog sit in there for over 15 hours before even attempting to gut the hog. When he finally got done hanging out with his girlfriend all day instead of doing his job he told us the hogs were no good. I called after we had left the site to see if they could make things right. What a mistake that was. They would not own up to the mistake and proceeded to blame us for the hog rotting AND the cooler breaking. I contacted the owner himself and he would also not own up to the crews mistakes. He claimed he wanted to make good by sending two hogs worth of meat, but of course that never happened. I tried giving this outfitter the most patience as possible, but two months later and I have received nothing. I will never return and no one I know will ever go.
★★★★★I had an amazing experience with the 2 day turkey hunt at Woods and Water, April 2022. Everyone was so nice and helpful from booking until the end of the hunt. Jesse is an amazing guide and went above and beyond to get a turkey. We went to several properties and had multiple turkey sightings and one amazing opportunity. Turkey hunting and especially hunting Eastern birds is extremely difficult. I am very thankful that I had the opportunity and was able to close the deal on getting a huge mature Gobbler this year. I can't wait to come back next year!
★★★★★Just wrapped up our second trip to Woods and Water and I can’t say enough about how great it is but I’ll try. Our first trip we stayed at their Lodge in Wrightsville in July of 2021 and was guided by Dustin and Will. Both were consummate professionals offering hospitality at the level that made us feel instantly at home. 2/3 of us killed hogs on this trip and the guides had us on hogs from the get-go. Their skill at skinning and being flexible about which cuts we wanted and how to cut up the pigs was top-notch. The second trip was to their Plantation House location and rose to the bar set by our first experience with this outfitter. Blaine, Jerry, and Curt were excellent hosts and guides providing an authentic hunting camp experience. From transparency and flexibility about hunting locations, sharing trail cam footage and general knowledge, giving us a tour of Blaine’s extensive Native American artifacts, to sitting around shooting the bull made us feel as though we were amongst friends the entire time. The atmosphere is exactly what we were hoping for and what I’ve read people are searching for in reviews of other outfitters. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the office staff as well, specifically Melanie. She was a dream to work with explaining all the different pricing structures and offering packages that were wallet friendly. She stayed in touch just enough before our hunt to keep us feeling confident about our upcoming trip. She was also understanding and helpful when we had unforeseen changes in our party size. If you’re looking for an authentic hog hunting experience with the comforts of home in a deer camp setting with friendly and knowledgeable people invested in your successful hunt then you don’t need to look any farther than Woods and Water. -Dan and Ed

★★★★★I have had the pleasure of staying at the Woods-N-Water lodge in Wrightsville to hunt a turkey and the Plantation in Irwinton to hunt a buck. Melanie does a great job with the bookings and administration. Both facilities are clean and well-equipped and provide a enjoyable hunting camp experience. Jesse worked hard to get me an opportunity on a turkey and I was able to get an Eastern Turkey. Alex is the operations manager at the Plantation and the head guide. He is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. After a frustrating year hunting on public land in FL, it was nice to have the experience of the guides and the benefit of private property. Not everyone in camp got a buck, but everyone had a great time. I was lucky and got a 13 point buck and will never forget the experience. Reservations are already made for 2022. I highly recommend their hunting services and facilities and am confident you will enjoy as well.
