I recently took my daughter to the Lodge at Palisades Creek as a high school graduation present. I have been to the lodge two other times and was hoping she would enjoy it as much as I have. The trip couldn't have been any better!
It was my daughter’s first-time fly fishing and after this trip she is “hooked”. Our guides (Trevor, George and Scott) were absolutely outstanding! They were patient and gave just the right amount of instruction and encouragement, and she was casting, mending, and setting like a seasoned angler in no time.
The fishing was excellent, but so was everything else about the lodge and every one of the staff members. Every meal was delicious. Breakfast is my favorite meal, and you can’t beat the walk in and order whatever you want menu…no paper menus needed! Each night after dinner we moved to the Liar’s Den for pool and darts before heading to the fire pit for smores (yes, they even provided a full smores kit for us each night).
It was truly an unforgettable trip that my daughter and I will never forget. At the end, my daughter asked: “Can we come here every year?”

My husband and I went fly fishing with Brett. I have never been fly fishing before and wasn’t sure if I was going to pick up the basic skills however I picked up the basics of what I needed to do pretty quickly all thanks to Brett’s guidance. Fishing down the river was fun and educational. Brett got equally as excited as I was each time I got a fish on the line which made it quite fun. If you’re trying to get your wife into fly fishing this is for sure the way to do it.

* We observed multiple requests for some type of special services. The answer from the staff was always yes.
* I have had different guides each of the times I’ve visited. All were knowledgeable, put us on good water, coached us well, we’re exceedingly courteous, and fun to spend a day with.

Hayden was my guide for two days. We caught 17 fish the first day of which 7 were prized Yellowstone cutthroat 15 to 18 inches. The second day we caught a very nice 19 inch fat rainbow along with several other fish, 16 total. Hayden was very knowledgeable regarding the flies to use and the tactics throughout the sections of the river. He also was very helpful in improving my technical casting abilities allowing us to pursue some nice fish. One, I highly recommended the lodge, two, if you get Hayden assigned as your guide? You will have a fantastic fly fishing adventure.

I have used their guide service on the Snake River three times, and each time was an exceptional day. They take care of everything, know the best spots on the river, and are easy to get along with. Their guide, George (who has been my guide twice), is fantastic. He is both patient and helpful. If you do what he's telling you, you are almost guaranteed fish.
I will certainly be coming back.

My father and I stayed at the Lodge for a few days and two days of fishing that created the most memorable experiences that I can ever ask for in our relationship as father and son. My father is turning 70 and I am turning 30.
The staff were genuinely caring, accommodating, and helped create such an amazing experience. Our guide Trevor and was kind, informative, and extremely patient.(we had really harsh winds on our second day of fishing) This was my first time fly fishing let alone in a beautiful river and in boat. We caught some great fish and most importantly an increasing bond between my dad and I.
Shout out to the manager, cook, and all of the wonderful ladies that made our experience a truly blessed spot in my heart.
The food was 5 star and served with class.
Truly the best cheesecake I had in my entire life .

What an amazing time we had at The Lodge at Palisades Creek! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcomed and at home. You don’t meet a stranger at the Lodge. Staff is the best. Friendly, efficient, they know their stuff! The food is delicious, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. Drinks, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, are included and they have some great wines, scotch and local beers. The fishing was spectacular! Our guide, Scott, knew where to take us to catch fish. He was knowledgeable of the area and very personable. My hubby caught a beautiful cutthroat trout and Scott was just as excited as my husband in landing that fish. Our cabin was clean and cozy and our bed was very comfortable. Plenty of room and there was a welcoming bottle of wine and some snacks upon our arrival. This was a trip to remember and we are definitely going back next year.
