The lodge and accommodations were well maintained and comfortable. The blinds where they drop you off are large with office chairs and gun rests. Hogs were big and docile, surprisingly not moving when a boar was shot not 5 feet from it. Dining was not bad. Our guide Leko was well informed and enjoyable to converse with. I did feel pressured to shoot a hog I wasn't 100% for, but took it on his recommendation.
The only reason I wouldn't give this trip the 5 star rating is that at many of the meals when Mitch joined us, many of his conversations were filled with racial slurs and derogatory comments about foreigners, which made things extremely awkward and uncomfortable when speaking with him. None of the other employees joined in on these comments.

I booked a hog hunt for my husband for our anniversary this year. We had a fantastic time. The boar was huge. My husband loved the hunt. The lodge is absolutely beautiful. The food is delicious. The bed are so comfortable. The entire experience was way more than I ever could have imagined it would be. Everyone was so nice. The owner is a great guy. The guides are very knowledgeable. Norman went out and scouted a huge boar for us. After a short hike my husband was able to make a great 70 yard shot. It was so fun to watch. We loved everything about our time at Spartan Hunting Preserve. We are hoping to go back again next year so he can hunt a ram.

My wife and I came to spartan Hunting preserve for a Hogzilla hunt and they didn’t disappoint, everything was 5 stars from being greeted when we got here to the guides taking us out for our hunt. The food was delicious, breakfast, lunch and dinner was home cooked and very tasty. We will be back for another hunt. If you’re looking to hunt giant hogs to beautiful rams and fallow deer, Spartan hunting preserve is the place to be.

Absolutely amazing experience. Texas Dall was a bucket lister for me and we did that and much more. Unbelievable animals, the largest hogs I've ever laid eyes on hands down and I've taken many hogs. We spot and stalked rams and it was a truly challenging and rewarding experience. Mitch Kemmer is a absolute great host, Norman was a excellent guide.. patient, extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to getting us just what we wanted. Beautiful, immaculate clean lodging and first class food. We absolutely will be back. If you're a hunter who hasn't experienced a hunt like this, do yourself a favor and go.

I have been aware and have waited quite some time to come here. I knew it would be a good trip, every aspect exceeded my expectations. The staff and family tasked with the dayily activities go above and beyond. The lodging is beyond beautiful and clean. The ladies preparing meals care and do an excellent job making sure everybody is well fed and enjoyed what was prepared. The game available is second to none and I would highly recommend spartan preserve to anybody without a second thought. Mitch was on site daily and available with any questions, concerns and heartfelt conversations. The guides are incredible and I would especially like to thank Scarlett for her knowledge and hard work. No doubt I will be back sooner than later for another experience at spartan preserve.

Spartan Hunting Preserve in Grandview, Tennessee gave me an awesome hunt and I’d definitely go back. The lodge is clean and comfortable, the food is great, and the whole place has a relaxed, friendly feel.
The staff and guides are what really make it special – they treat you like family, keep everything safe and ethical. The boar hunting was exciting with plenty of opportunity, and they made things easy afterward with skinning, quartering, and help lining up processing.
Overall, it was a smooth, fun, and memorable trip, and I’d highly recommend Spartan Hunting Preserve to anyone looking for a quality Tennessee hog hunt.
