★★★★★Went on a morning trip to Southwind during quail season. Arrived before sunrise and got to enjoy the sunrise. Enjoyed a nice southern breakfast and then hopped in vans to go to the buggies. Knowledgeable guides, well trained dogs, beautiful scenery, lots of quail. Had a crazy good lunch and then hit the road.

★★★★★I have hunted quail and deer my entire life. I have hunted them in many places over many States. However, the experience of hunting at Southwind is beyond comparison. Southwind is a beautiful planation that is extremely well maintained. It is easy to see that there is a lot of hard work put into Southwind. Tim, his family and the staff are the most amazing hosts. Randy, Stacy, Kim and all the staff make you feel like family. They cater to your every need with a smile. The food is delicious!!!! Rivals any 5 star restaurant. Sometimes I wonder if we visit Southwind for the amazing hunting or the delicious food. The guides are knowledgeable and very accommodating. On a recent visit (my wife and I have been visiting Southward for a number of years), our guide Mark even helped us work our 6 month old English Cocker while he was guiding a safe, amazing hunt! My wife and I have made hunting at Southwind an annual Holiday tradition as well as other visits throughout the year to shoot dove or simply relax. In our opinion, they are due for another Orvis Wingshooting Lodge of the Year!

From the cattle pastures, the game bird fields that are stocked with mallards, drakes, pheasant and doves and the lake that was in the center of the property was incredible. The cabin that we stayed in was very comfortable. The Bower Station cabin was a true hunting cabin stocked with the comfortable amenities of home after from great day of hunting. The food that was served at the main lodge was absolutely delicious. Cooked to Perfection. Steaks, Fish, Pork Chops The hunting guides there are very knowledgeable about the kind of game that your interesting in hunting. The staff there are very kind and accommodating. If you want to experience southern hospitality at its finest, book your next trip at Southwind Plantation in Attapulgus, Georgia.
★★★★★They were very friendly and caring and put our needs first and I had the best time of my life shooting quail and pheasant, our group shot a total of 108 birds and the owner was a very nice and well knowledgeable and the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and the hunting was spot on very well kept up and maintained , we will be back for more hunts in the near future , the cabins can hold a lot of ppl and are very well decorated and the food was first class spot on well cooked and the deserts were out standing as well and if we had questions we just told someone and they were handled right way

I brought my son who had never been quail/pheasant hunting along with my dad who hadn't been in 35+ years. Derry as the guide along with the entire staff and atmosphere made our experience a lifetime event that we will always cherish. They do an exceptional job of walking the fine line between extremely nice and pretentious I would feel comfortable recommending this to anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere, incredibly well trained dogs, and a lot of shots.
