We had an incredible experience at South Fork Hunting Preserve today and couldn’t have asked for a better day with my boys. The staff was welcoming, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, which made the whole experience feel safe and enjoyable, especially for kids. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, and you can tell a lot of care goes into how everything is run. What meant the most to me was seeing my boys learn, respect the outdoors, and make memories they’ll be talking about for a long time. This was more than just a hunt—it was quality time, learning, and tradition all wrapped into one. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Truly one of my favorite places on earth. I’ve been hunting with these guys for the past 12 years, I have 2 dogs from their kennels, and our nonprofit hosts an event every fall on the grounds. The staff are incredible and will absolutely put you on birds and have you laughing within moments of arriving. I couldn’t recommend a place to hunt more. Give them a try…you won’t be disappointed.

My father, brother in law, and I have enjoyed many hunts with the South Fork team since we first heard of them at least a handful of years ago. By far, this is our favorite place to bird hunt. Colby and Jacob have been fantastic each and every interaction we have with them. The guides are a special treat as well (shoutout Kyle), and certainly make our hunts exciting and fruitful with their expertise and enthusiasm about the sport. We will continue to enjoy hunts here until we are told we cannot come back, which I doubt will ever happen. It’s been a pleasure to watch them grow as a team and as a company since we have been hunting with them. We are looking forward to many hunts this upcoming season, and if you are looking for a solid place to start the sport or continue an activity you know and love, South Fork is THE place for you! I cannot recommend South Fork enough! We have a 1 year old GSP & it was his first time hunting. They let us do I guided hunt with a guide & experienced (beyond incredible) dog & then let us bring out dog in to get practice. Everyone there was great to talk to, patient & relaxed. They gave us some tips on how to keep working with our pup too. Great price & lots of birds! We had an absolute blast & will be going back. Side note: Zella the dog we worked with was incredible to hunt with. Fast at finding birds, beautiful to watch navigate the fields & impeccable natural skill & training.

Bad dove hunt this past weekend. Too many people on a dove field and not spaced far enough apart. Also didn't start until noon when opening was at daylight.

Had a very disappointing dove shoot at this place yesterday. Their fields were not properly prepared for the doves and the way the spots were assigned was pretty unorganized. Very few birds were coming onto the property to eat. Other fields surrounding the property seemed to be attracting all of the birds. Definitely not worth the $150 charge to shoot there. There were way too many shooters spaced to close to each other. I will not be back
