★★★★★It was absolutely awesome with the 3 people that knew their stuff. My sister and I felt so at ease. The scenery and lake was beautiful and relaxing. The food was perfect. We fly fished, took many hikes, laughed a lot, floated on the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend the retreat.

We had a fire ban so no fire at camp but we made do with the stove for s’mores! We saw lot of wildlife, couple owls, deer, we heard some elk at night! Will definitely be coming again! Maybe for a longer ride and over night!

★★★★★If you want a high quality horse pack experience in Colorado, I would recommend that you book with Sable Mountain. Ann Marie runs this business to perfection, with quality horses, gear and guides. We caught and released so many fish on our 3 day trip in 2023 that our arms were getting tired, the food was always delicious and the scenery unmatched. We booked another trip for 2024 and all of us are excited to go again. We are novice riders that always felt comfortable on their mountain horses, that they care for year around. The camps are as clean and organized as you will ever find, and the care for the environment is also clearly noticed. They love what they do and it shows. I am sure the hunting side of the business runs equally as smooth, and hope to book a trip in the future with them.

★★★★★Amazing trip! Went on full service trip to Marvine Lake July 8, 2019. Ann Marie, Lane, Darry and Reid were wonderful. Gentle horseback ride to and from camp was beautiful with stunning wildflowers and scenery. Fishing was excellent in both lake and river. Darry is great cook and food was awesome including Grandma’s baked goodies. Campfire in morning and evening made each day special. Highly recommend this trip and look forward to a return visit.
