★★★★★Great time with Rocky Mountain Outfitters of Colorado.. We booked a one day trip. Victor was our guide. We had weather in the area and safety was first.. We caught some rainbow trout and Victor noticed a cloud dipping down and covering the mountain. He cranked the big motor and the next second we heard a clap of thunder in the distance.. We were off the waiter and back in our vehicles while the weather moved through. . Went back out and landed three lake trout and a few more rainbows.. The weather looked like it was moving back in. We had plenty of trout for supper.. Victor did an excellent job cleaning the fish for us.. Very pleased with this trip.. if you’re planning a fishing trip with Rocky Mountain Outfitters of Colorado ask for Victor . You will not be disappointed.

Beyond the fishing, Eric was a pleasure to spend the day with. The conversations were great, he made everyone feel welcome, and the entire trip was relaxed and enjoyable from start to finish. To top it all off, the scenery at Eleven Mile Reservoir is absolutely stunning. Between the incredible views and a guide who genuinely cares about giving his clients the best experience possible, it was a trip we’ll all remember. ★★★★★My wife and I fished with Victor for trophy lake trout one day and with Eric for numbers of mostly rainbows the next day. Both trips were exactly as advertised. We thoroughly enjoyed both days. Both guides were knowledgeable and personable. This outfit knows what they are doing. We fished in the mornings which I would definitely recommend if you book a summer date. It is hot in the afternoons and you stand a real good chance of getting run off the lake by summer pop up thunderstorms.

We had five boats on the water, and every guide was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient with our Scouts throughout the trip. What really stood out was how much they invested in teaching the boys. They took the time to show them how to properly clean the fish they caught, giving them the knowledge they needed to complete the Fishing Merit Badge requirements for rank advancement. That extra effort meant a lot to our troop. This was easily the highlight of our trip to Colorado, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Ben and his crew to anyone looking for a first-class fishing adventure. Thank you for making it such a memorable trip!
★★★★★Simply perfect! I can’t say enough how amazing this fishing trip was. I brought my two boys, ages 10 and 11. They had THE best time ever, not once were they bored. Ben’s expertise as a guide was clearly evident, he got us onto the fish all day and was great with my boys. I lost count but I know that we ended up catching over 30 fish and landed a big trout to end the day after missing a monster earlier in the morning. After this trip I wouldn’t even look at anyone else, RMOOC and Ben have our business whenever we’re in CO, we will be back!

★★★★★Great Guide & Beautiful Scenery Ben was extremely knowledgeable, patient, great with my daughter and laser focused on catching fish. His 20ft boat was roomy and outfitted with the lastest tech for boat control and fish finding. We only caught one, but mackinaw in July are phinicky biters requiring significant finess and skill (so I learned). However, Ben clearly did the best with what nature gave us. We missed five, some our fault, some to bad luck. If I were to book again, I'd aim for just after ice off or just before ice on when they are a little more aggressive. Again, still a fun time and I learnd a lot about mackinaw. My only observed area for improvement was the equipment/tackle condition and boat orgnization. One pole had a broken tip and the other spinning reel only worked as right-hand reel. He also noticed one reel wasn't spooled full, but didn't have any line to remedy it. I don't think it truly affected results but just one "attention-to-detail" thing I noted. I would definitely book again and recommend Ben for Twin Lakes.

★★★★★We fished 11 mile on July 1st, did the morning run. There was 5 of us and we all limited out on trout within 4 hours, then we started catching salmon. These weren't little trout they were good sized ones 3, 4, 5 ponders! Yeah it was great fishing. Eric was our guide...Eric is a character straight out of an Ernest Hemingway novel. This guy has fished the world and probably forgotten more about fishing than most guides have ever known. And it showed, he was a great guide and super fun, he was at least as excited for our fishing trip as we were...pretty cool. He does get intense while the catch is happening, which is also cool! Sorry about that hook in your toe Eric 😬.
