We had the most incredible time at the Rich Ranch. Every single hand on the ranch went out of their way to make sure our trip was perfect….and it was PERFECT!!

The Rich family are phenomenal hosts! I visited in 2017 and will be returning again soon! I immediately felt like family. I stayed 1-2 nights in a cottage and went on a 5 day pack trip. The people are amazing, the food was delicious, and the terrain is immaculate. This vacation literally changed my life.

Incredible place all around! The staff and hosts are so friendly. You literally become one of the family. The local hiking and horseback riding filled the experience.

This is definitely not a fancy place. It is, however, exactly as it should be for a wonderful guest ranch. The owners and staff strike exactly the right chord to ensure an exceptional experience! Would go again if I had the chance!

We came to the ranch as guests but left as family! I can’t say enough about how we were treated during our stay. 15 inexperienced riders and they worked tirelessly to keep us all safe and happy! The rooms, lodge, staff, and scenery were exceptional but the horses stole the show. You can tell they are well cared for and well trained. Will definitely return.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Snowmobile Adventure at Rich Ranch! I had an incredible experience at Rich Ranch on February 5th-9th! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we were well-prepared for an amazing day on the trails. The snowmobiles were in excellent condition, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking—snow-covered mountains, pristine forests, and miles of well-groomed trails. Our cabin was clean and cozy, the hot tub was hot and wet and the machines were like new and powerful! We had home cooked meals in the lodge that is mostly family and our favorite guide was the owner himself, who showed us moose, elk, mule deer, whitetail deer and snowshoe hare. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, Rich Ranch is the perfect place for an unforgettable winter adventure. I can’t recommend them enough and can’t wait to go back! Thanks Jack and the gang! Craig Sauer

Just returned home from my Rich Ranch Snowmobile Trip, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! Immediately we were picked up and greeted by Jack Rich and his daughter Shannon at Missoula airport. Again, the ranch owners picking us up was not what I expected, and the fun started from there. Jack made us all laugh hysterically within the first minutes of meeting him and we had no shortage of conversation and laughs on the near 2 hour ride to the ranch! We were a group of nine guys that wanted to stay together in one large cabin, a request they were able to accommodate. The Heritage Lodge not only accommodated us but did so comfortably with seven beds, four bathrooms, a spacious sitting area by the fire that fit all of us, and a hot tub on the deck. It's a beautiful and expansive log cabin that remained incredibly warm and cozy even in the -50 temperatures we experienced at night. The snowmobiles we rode were BRAND NEW Gen 5 Skidoo Summits. We put the very first miles on them, and they are incredible machines. The views of the beautiful ranch and landscape captivated us every time we paused to take in the scenery. It truly feels like God's country out here. If the temperatures weren't so cold due to the polar vortex this week, I could have stayed outside staring at the stars all night. The snowmobiling expeditions were scenic, fun, and safe. We are all amateur riders with no real backcountry experience, and a few were first-timers altogether, so we kept it to mostly trail riding. The trails at higher elevations had several feet of fresh powder, providing quite the experience. Our guides, Will and Tim, were stellar, always ensuring we were safe and helping anyone get un-stuck. Ranch owner Jack Rich also joined us on some trips, and we enjoyed midday lunches around a large fire in the backcountry. On one day, Jack even brought his grill to cook burgers for us on the trail! Now, to the highlight of the trip and what, in my opinion, made this experience extraordinary. The hospitality and good times shared with Jack & Belinda Rich and the entire Rich Ranch family were unlike anything I've experienced on any vacation. It felt like being with family, as opposed to staying at a hotel or resort. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were shared with the Rich family at their table. We'd come in a little early, enjoy some hot cider in the sitting area adjacent to the kitchen until dinner was served, and engage in pleasant conversations with everyone. It felt entirely natural. The food was superb, and we never had a bad meal or felt hungry. In fact, I haven't eaten this much food in a single day in years. So, if you're tempted to bring snacks, you probably shouldn't :) As I mentioned, the hospitality of the Rich family is what made this experience truly exceptional. Jack Rich is by far the most interesting man in the world. He can keep you intrigued for hours with stories about the ranch's history, his family/ancestry, Montana, and just life in general. There was never a dull moment during the nearly five days we spent there. I would undoubtedly return to this beautiful place again to experience other seasons and maybe a hunting expedition. There is so much to see and do. I look forward to coming back one day. Thank you so much for the experience Rich Family, we love you guys! Stavros

I just spent a week at the Rich Family Ranch with 20 of my best girl friends. I could not have asked for a better experience. The Rich family did whatever it took to make our adventure memorable. We had women who had never ridden horses to accomplished riders. They accommodated us all. Jack, Belinda, Shannon and their crew are “salt of the Earth” people and truly welcome you as family. I look forward to going again.

Upon first meeting the Rich family, which includes the staff, you feel at home. When leaving a few days later, you just wanna to take them with you. That's not gonna happen, so you'll try to stay a little longer, trust me. That's why we go every year now. Oh yeah, all the outdoor stuff is amazing, and the food is terrific, by the way, so that's a real plus, too.

My friend and I had a top notch experience at Rich Ranch in September 2019. The highlight was the one night pack trip to Leota Peak where the hunting camp is. Our wrangler John was at our beck and call all week. We could ride whenever it suited us on beautiful scenic trails right from the ranch. He also took us into 2 towns for some sightseeing and treated us to lunch. Comfortable, roomy cabins, hot tub, laundry facilities, amazing food. I highly recommend this guest ranch to both beginner and experienced horsemen.

Our entire family, 18 in all, spent 5 days with the Rich Ranch family. It is the unanimous opinion that this was the best trip ever for our family. The scenery was amazing. Three meals a day were voted right up there with a Baptist homecoming. The snowmobiling was a thrill for all. Best of all... the family that is Rich's Montana Guest Ranch, Jack, Belinda and all those who made this adventure possible, are unbelievable. We felt so welcome and at home. We will forever remember the peace that was this vacation.

Took some time to decide whether to write this but in the end felt it was necessary. I am not a rich man but saved so I could do the hunt of a lifetime, an elk hunt in Montana. Unfortunately we were lied to by the owner and so were a lot of other hunters who spent big bucks for this hunt. The owner failed to tell us that his hunting concession was smack dab in the middle of 160,000 acres that had burned to the ground in 2018. No elk, no deer no nothing. This outfit had three hunts of 9 days with 8 hunters and not one animal was taken in 2021 with similar results in 2020. It will be years before elk and deer are back. Go elsewhere and don’t make the mistake I did.

Not sure if I already left a review, but my wife, son and I had such a beautiful experience at the ranch. We felt like we were staying with family. We also felt very safe, as these people really know what they’re doing- a professional operation with a human touch. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Neil G

If you are looking for a serene and restful getaway, Rich Ranch is for you. It is located in the beautiful mountains of Montana. They have scrumptious, home style meals, daily horseback rides, fishing, and just good ‘ole relaxing. It is a beautiful place with individual cabins and a lodge for meals and visiting. The ranch is family-run with everyone having a part - parents, children, and others to provide an all around great experience. Hospitality at it’s finest.

I'd like to make several comments regarding Rich Ranch family, since I've stayed 2 weeks there once around 15 years ago. THE OWNERS ARE MENTALLY CONSUMED BY MAKING PRIME SEASON BOOKINGS FOR TOP DOLLAR MONEY, AND WILL NOT ACCOMMODATE A SINGLE PERSON BECAUSE IT'S NOT WORTH FILLING UP ONE OF THEIR "CABINS" FOR A WEEK OR TWO!! THEN RICH RANCH WANTS YOU TO ARRIVE ON A SATURDAY, AND LEAVE ON A SUNDAY! RICH RANCH ONLY WANTS TO DRIVE YOU TO AIRPORT VIA THEIR SHUTTLE ON A SUNDAY?? THIS IS VERY BAD PRACTICE JUST TO SAVE SOME GAS! I HAVE TO GET EXPENSIVE AIRLINE TICKET, AND THEN WAS TOLD THERE ARE HARDLY ANY VIABLE RENTAL CAR AGENCIES IN MISSOULA (TRUE NO MATTER WHAT TIME OF YEAR, THEN PROBABLY PRICE GOUGING BY CAR RENTALS). RICH RANCH REQUESTS A 15 % MINIMUM TIP AT END OF STAY.... SO WHY NOT FLY TO GO SEE WYOMING AND YELLOWSTONE AND OLD FAITHFUL INSTEAD

Top-notch western hospitality for enjoying the great Montana outdoors. Family-cooked meals every day and a lodge with walls full of stories. Clean and warm cabins with a common hot tub to recover. Skilled guides and quality equipment made exploring the surrounding forests easy & fun. All types of untouched terrain made for a wide variety of snowmobiling (& the new snow never stopped while we were there!).
