Redbone Outfitting, led by fourth-generation Montanan Bud Martin with over 30 years in business, offers guided hunts for mule deer, whitetail, mountain lion, antelope, elk, coyote, prairie dog, black bear, and bighorn sheep. Based near Zortman, Montana, they operate in the Missouri Breaks National Monument and surrounding wilderness areas. Hunters enjoy comfortable kitchen and heated bunkhouse cabins with home-cooked meals.

This was my first time using Redbone Outfitting and I'm glad I did. Bud is a great host, ensures a safe and fun time, and made sure we had a good hunt by brining us to multiple different sites. Overall, excellent experience.
3 days2+ huntersπ Year-round Β· preserveWe have several openings in May, June and July for groups of 2 or more for the 2026 Prairie dog hunts. Prairie dog hunt all summer long and the shooting is good until late fall most years. Coyotes and Badger hunting is open year-round.
7 daysSpecial drawing permit only (Montana hunting district 620 or 621). Permits are very hard to draw (1-2600) and must be applied for by March 15th. Non-hunters are not available.
4 days2β3 huntersπ Year-round Β· preserveWe have some openings for spring and winter 2025 Coyote hunts. Coyote and Badger hunting is open year-round in our Zortman area. All coyote hunts are guided on a 2 or 3 on 1 basis unless special arrangements are made prior to your hunt.
5 days1β4 huntersπ Aug β SepArchery season begins August 15th for pronghorn antelope and continues through September. We schedule our archery hunts for the first 4 weeks of season to achieve the best success possible, with a maximum of 4 hunters per week. We have a few 2026 archery antelope spots open.
5 daysπ Oct β NovRifle season: 2nd Sunday of October - 2nd Sunday of November. Permits in this area are by drawing only, and the drawing odds are not very good for non-residents hunting with a rifle. Antelope only hunts will occur the first part of October.
7 daysSeason from Dec. 1st till closed by quota in Mt. Most of our Lion hunts will need to be booked at least 1 year in advance. No non-hunters on lion hunts.
