Rafter Y Ranch & Outfitters offers guided trophy elk, mule deer, and black bear hunts in the Bookcliff Mountains of northwestern Colorado. They operate on over 10,000 deeded acres and 100,000+ permitted BLM land, known for producing some of the largest elk and mule deer in the state. McKenzie and Ashley Flanigan, the owners, are dedicated to wildlife conservation and providing a memorable family-oriented hunting experience.

Our black bear population is always thriving. There is bear sign on just about every inch of our place. Ranging in colors from black, cinnamon, and blonde, we can add a bear hunt as a combo to any elk or deer hunt. All of our hunts are conducted by side-by-sides, jeeps, and small trucks. No more than 2 hunters per 1 guide, but typically we run 1 on 1 hunts.

There’s plenty of room to chase them on the Rafter Y Ranch with 10,000+ deeded acres and 100,000+ permitted acres. All of our hunts are conducted by side-by-sides, jeeps, and small trucks. No more than 2 hunters per 1 guide, but typically we run 1 on 1 hunts.

We are so excited to see the deer population coming back ten fold this year. Everywhere we go on the mountain we’ve seen bucks, does, and fawns. After having such a mild winter last year, it’s given all the deer a good chance at making it through the cold weather. We’re seeing a lot of great potential for bucks this season with a lot of bucks scoring 180-200+. All of our hunts are conducted by side-by-sides, jeeps, and small trucks. No more than 2 hunters per 1 guide, but typically we run 1 on 1 hunts.
