I truly enjoyed my stay at Piney Woods! The cabins were clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The home-cooked Southern meals were absolutely delicious, and what really made it special was the family-style atmosphere. Mr. Keith and Miss Ronetta didn’t just host— they cooked each meal and ate at the dinner table with me making me feel right at home. Their hospitality was top-notch and truly genuine. You can tell they care about every guest having a great experience. I also can’t say enough about my guide, Chico. His passion for turkey hunting is obvious, and he worked tirelessly towards my success. His persistence, combined with local knowledge, put me in the right spots and gave me great opportunities on birds. Overall, it was a fantastic trip from start to finish. I’d highly recommend Piney Woods to anyone looking for a quality hunt with great people.

My first hog hunt did not disappoint. Plenty of hogs here! The owner, his wife and the guides you can tell are just good, down to earth people. Guides were really helpful and genuinely cared about my hunt. Beautiful hunting grounds and nice lodge/gathering area. The bunk houses looked very new and my room had a nice TV and a full bathroom complete with a nice tile shower. Pretty sure all the rooms are that way. Beds were even comfy. Everything was clean and well kept. The blinds and stands I was in appeared to be new or newer and in great shape. I believe some were maybe even less than a year old, so really nice and comfortable, even for two people. I had a great time and look forward to going back. Oh and the food was great and there was more than plenty to go around. I highly recommend booking a hunt with them. You won't be disappointed. Good people, good food and good hunting! Thanks for a great first hog hunt guys! Hope to see you again later this year.

My wife and I had a great time hunting for hogs at Piney Woods Hunting Lodge. The wife was successful and harvested a nice hog. Keith and Jay did everything possible to see that we harvested a hog. Piney Woods Hunting Lodge in Eufaula, Alabama was a mixed experience overall. The accommodations were excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting for hunters. There were several of us participating during this stay, yet each hunter enjoyed a private room and bathroom, both of which were very well maintained. The guides were friendly and accommodating. As for the hunt itself, things were not quite as good as we had expected. Let me preface this by saying that I have hunted deer for over five decades across more than 15 states. One fact that is always present is that there is no guarantee a hunt will result in a successful harvest. That said, I have never hunted a property for three full days without seeing at least one deer. I know deer were present on the property, but they were clearly aware of our presence. I have seen this before and believe it to be the case here as well: over time, the deer appear to have become accustomed to the food plots and the routine presence of hunters. In that environment, they learn to avoid those areas altogether. My partner did see a doe and a yearling during his three-day hunt. Between the two of us, that amounted to only two deer sightings over a full three-day period, while hunting in separate areas of the property. I will add that a third hunter on the property did manage to harvest a small buck; however, in my opinion, it should have been passed and allowed to grow for another two or three seasons. If you are looking for a nice, relaxing three-day getaway, I would recommend Piney Woods. If, on the other hand, your goal is to actively hunt with a reasonable opportunity to harvest a buck, you may want to consider a different outfitter. A side note; be sure to collect all of your belongings when you leave, especially if they have some value. There's no chance of getting it back. Even with all the issues, I would like to express my thanks to my guide, Mr. Jay. He was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to spend time with.

Going into these trips, you don't really know what to expect. I can confidently say that you will be overly satisfied with your trip at Piney Woods Hunting Lodge. To start, the property is absolutely beautiful. The property hosts some amazing woods, ponds, and pasture land. The amount of animals I saw this past weekend was astonishing(deer,turkey,hogs,birds,small game,etc). The property also hosts a very well designed gun range that can be used for sighting in your rifles. This range is nicer than most dedicated gun ranges in surrounding areas. The accommodations you will receive are lavish for a hunting lodge. They have private lodges for each guest to stay in and they are newly renovated and extremely clean. Keith is an amazing cook and will ensure that no guest goes hungry. Keith offers alot of great knowledge on hunting,guns,fishing,etc and has some great stories to tell. Overall, I had a great experience and I looked forward to coming back soon. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who's looking to book a hunting trip!

WILL the owner was 1 of the most respectful and kind guides along with his helper Jona. As regular hunters you are never guaranteed. As for "Sid" a preacher's comment below, you were given RULES and REGULATIONS to respect "The Hunt" and for you to down grade what this man TRIED to do for us 10 others hunting like normal people, you shot a "small" buck (not big enough to shoot as you alresdy was given the rules at day 1) and then you shoot and lie about it and leave for prey.. GREAT! Southern hospitality at its finest. Keith is a fantastic cook, the food is delicious, you will not go hungry. Private suites are spacious, clean and comfortable. As for the hunting, they have an abundance of deer, hogs, turkeys, and coyotes. Keith does a good job of monitoring the trail cameras to put you in the best of their many stands across several properties. They do the best they can to ensure you have ample opportunities to harvest game. Keith works with a local butcher and had my hog fully processed and frozen for the ride home.
