Non-Typical Outfitters specializes in high adventure trophy hunting in the mountains of western Wyoming. They operate in over 900 square miles of Bridger-Teton National Forest and extensive BLM lands, offering guided hunts for mule deer, elk, antelope, black bear, and predators. The outfitter prides itself on extensive pre-season scouting and a commitment to providing challenging and rewarding wilderness experiences.
Our mule deer and elk seasons do not overlap. Even though you cannot hunt both species at the same time, we do have clients that book a mule deer/elk combo hunt. Sometimes there are a couple of days between the seasons, so be prepared for a break between your hunts.
We offer an antelope hunt in combination with either mule deer or elk. That is a one day add on hunt making the total hunt duration 6 days.
Western Wyoming Mule Deer are the top trophy mule deer herds in the country. We have a high buck-to-doe ratio, outstanding genetics and the age class necessary for trophy quality deer. This is one of the best areas to hunt for trophy quality mule deer in North America.
This 3-Day cow elk hunt offers way more than just an opportunity to acquire the finest cuisine (elk meat) on the planet. These hunts are an invitation to experience God's country on a whole new level! We have personally witnessed and received testimonies of lives being changed.

If you have always dreamed of harvesting a Rocky Mountain Elk, or bettering the one that you already have, this is the hunt for you. We have a large resident herd of elk with a very high bull to cow ratio. Natural winter range and feed grounds are close by so we are not dependent on migration.
Our Wyoming high desert antelope hunts are more unique than any other outfitted antelope hunt in Wyoming. You will be based out of a high country camp surrounded by 10,000 foot mountain peaks. We kill some of Wyoming’s best antelope every year and it won’t take max points to draw these units. This hunt is adventurous, challenging and yet extremely rewarding.
This hunt is not the normal spring black bear hunt. This hunt also includes our NTO shooting class. You will have daily opportunities to test your shooting skills on steel at ranges of 300-900 yards with personal instruction. There is no other hunt on the planet that gives this same opportunity to develop or hone your personal shooting skills on steel and then test those skills in real life hunting experiences on the mountain.
There is no other hunt on the planet that checks all the boxes like a Wyoming predator hunt. These hunts target both wolves and coyotes. Many different tactics will be used including glassing, tracking, calling and pursuit. This hunt is high speed and high adventure in every way. It will test your skills to the maximum.
