Simply an outstanding experience with Moccasin Fly Club. All of the lodging and guide services were taken care of -- all I had to do was get to Bariloche -- and there was even a nice welcome gift waiting when we arrived. The guides were excellent and Nico and his team @ Guides Patagonia are very patient and put you in the right places to catch fish. It's a very different kind of fishing than I am used to with long casts, often in windy conditions, and streamer fishing in deep lakes and wide rivers. But if you're persistent and willing to learn, you can pick it up quickly and I have my first 30"+ rainbow to show for it. The Limay also holds the biggest browns I have ever seen. If you want a trophy trout, this is the place, and Nico will give you the best chance to catch one. The rooms at the lodge were large, well appointed, and very clean with a full breakfast served every morning. Lunch on the rivers was over-the-top good with a nice bottle of Argentinian wine to go with. Patagonia is, of course, extremely beautiful as are the rivers and lakes and the people are great -- friendly and welcoming. Overall, just a wonderful trip and one I will be doing again next year with Moccasin Fly Club.

I have traveled with Moccasin two times now, first time in New Mexico and second time in Patagonia, both for fly fishing targeting big fish. I really can’t say enough great things about my experiences. John goes above and beyond to make sure everything is seamless. Lodging has been excellent, fishing guides are excellent and very knowledgeable, food is great, people on the trip are friendly. Both trips we were successful in landing some awesome fish and I learned a ton, pushing my current capabilities to a new level. I will absolutely be traveling with Moccasin again in the future and would highly recommend John and his team to anyone seeking a badass adventure!

Whether their pre-planned epic trips such as “Chasing Trophies” or having them set up private trips for client-based outings, each experience has been outstanding and leaving our group wanting to get back on the calendar for more. John’s attention to all the details: lodging, food, travel timing and most important guides. I can’t say enough about my experiences. I have always enjoyed the new people we have met on our trips, the merchandise they make available to the avid fisherman, and all the new trips they are always planning and making available. COMMUNITY, COMRADERY, and FLY FISHING!!! All the right attributes for a fun time on the water, wherever you are in the world. What’s best about Moccasin Fly Club is the sense of community that John Hunt and his team creates at the start of every fishing experience. Every trip I’ve been on (Pyramid Lake, San Juan, multiple days out on the Colorado), you can tell MFC has thought through all of the small details that can either make or break a person’s experience. They’ll put you on to fish, that’s for sure, and it’s then up to you to listen to the guides/individuals that are on the trip with you that know the waters, and get ready for an awesome trip. Even if you were to get skunked, which happened to me one day during a trip, the positivity of crew will ensure you’ll still have a good time. The next day, I killed it on the water and learned a value lesson to take on trips to come (Listen, Listen, Listen to your guide!!!). Moccasin Fly Club is truly a good vibes community. You will not be disappointed if you choose this club for all of fly-fishing adventures. It’s definitely a no-brainer decision for me!!
