About this package
At McGowan Outfitting we pursue high country mule deer with rifle equipment. Most of our mature mule deer bucks are found at higher elevations in September and October. Our deer hunts are aggressive and physically demanding. The country is rugged, rocky and typically not suitable for extensive horse travel. Expect to hike and to hike hard. McGowan Outfitting mule deer hunts will be rover style hunts, where hunters utilize their own two feet to travel the hills in search of that dream buck. Hunters can combo rifle mule deer with their elk hunts between the dates of 10/10-10/24. A deer tag may also be used to tag a bear, wolf or mountain lion.
