We had a small group for this excursion. It was so much fun. Our tour guide was great. We learned history of the area including different mountain peaks, She was knowledgeable and explained the care and management of the bison herd. And there was a baby bison being fed with a bottle so we were able to pet her. I suggest you rent the larger machines. the small ones had trouble climbing some of the hills.

This was an amazing experience and Cody was a fantastic guide. The bison are very docile and the trails are relatively easy to navigate, but be prepared for some bumps along the way. It was a very unique day and definitely the best part of our trip to Steamboat Springs.

Our Ranger Polaris ATV tour at Lucky 8 Ranch was absolutely incredible! Our guide, Cody, did a fantastic job showing us around the stunning ranch and introducing us to the bison herd. The highlight of the trip was seeing three rare white bisons. A beautiful, buff-tan colored bison named Leo was the absolute hit of the tour—he crossed the trail directly in front of us! Highly recommend this experience and Cody as a guide!

We were there in May of this year. Just by chance my son booked the adventure with the bison tour. Our guide was a young lady full of energy, knowledge and insights into life on a working bison ranch. By far one o the best, beautiful and exciting things we have ever done. I would and have recommended this tour to any visitor. It was our first time in Colorado during “the mud season” and what a wonderful surprise it was. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!

Fantastic! Full 3 hours self-driving Polaris Ranger side-by-side ATV all over 3,200 acre ranch behind guide (in another ATV). Multiple stops where guide (Andy) offered insights into ranch life, info on bisons, and insights into Colorado high country living. EXACTLY what I was hoping for. We had a phenomenal time. Our family was treated with love and care doing a ATV tour of the ranch. We had such a good time with Brice. He was one of the best tour guides I've encountered. He was so knowledgeable about the ranch after only working there for a year. His passion for what he does really shines. He answered all of our questions with patience (and there were a lot!). He tried his best to show off the unique bison members like Leo and Cherry, and their new baby blonde female. He knew when to let us watch and ask questions and when to keep things moving. He took us around two laps of the fun uphill portion of the trail. Couldn't have asked for a better experience... Thank you, Brice!!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our 2 hour guided horseback ride immensely! They took such great care of my 8 year old son who needed a little extra support. I love and miss my precious gentle horse Pearl! I recommend this company 100% for your horseback riding adventure every time you visit Steamboat Springs, Colorado! We cannot wait to go back! We were running late because our GPS routed us down a 6 mile private road that was locked at the end of the road so we had to backtrack. When we arrived at 2pm, the greeter and trail Gide Tina was so happy to see us and she made us feel so comfortable. We completed our briefing after signing the waivers and boarded our UTVs. We got 2 Polaris UTVs and began to follow Tina throughout the 3800 acre property. The bison were everywhere and we got our fair share of videos and photos capturing what they look like in the wild. We even got to see a rare White Bison. Overall, this is a must -do activity if you’re in Steamboat. If you like speed and mingling up close with some of the largest beasts on the planet, I highly recommend the 2 hour tour.

Our experience at Lucky 8 Ranch was amazing. We went out with our 12 and 9 year old kids and my 70 year old mother. Tina and Joe were great guides and the 6 seat 1000 series ATV was incredibly comfortable. If you are worried about the intensity, don't be. It was fun but never scary. The guides got us close to the bison but kept us safe and my kids had an absolute blast. Make sure you wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and have so much fun!
