In September 2025, I had a wonderful archery elk hunting adventure. From the very beginning, Ruben and Susan Urrutia helped me as I planned and prepared for this trip. Ruben was upfront describing the hunt and the importance of training in advance. At 77, I took his advice and was able to navigate the terrain and attitude. Ruben provides a very comfortable camp, great horses, friendly knowledgeable guides. There was always hot coffee, a hearty breakfast and a nice dinner at the end of the day. Ruben did everything possible to get me into the elk each day. He is dedicated to helping the client. I appreciate all his hard work and effort, I came away with wonderful memories and a dream hunt fulfilled.

We hired Frazier Outfitting to guide our bull elk hunt on Unit 76. They did a fantastic job answering all our questions and getting us prepared for the hunt.
It took 2.5 hours to reach the camp by horseback. During the day we saw a lot of wildlife - elk, moose, and sheep. We would fall asleep to the sound of elk bugling and then wake up in the morning following our guides bright and early to try to find 'em!
I ended up shooting a bull on the morning of the second day. The scenery, camp, and food was all fantastic! I loved every aspect of the hunt and would highly recommend it to anyone interested.

What a great experience! Right from the start, this family run outfitter was clear and upfront about the expectations. As the hunt became closer, Ruben and Susan helped navigate all the last minute questions. As for the hunt, the horses were trustworthy and confident. The accommodations and food made a 7 day hunt more comfortable. Everything that was in Lost Trail Outfitters control was simply amazing. As for the elk, it's GMU 76!

My Dad and I had a wonderful 1st Season elk hunt with these guys. It took 11 years to draw the tag for us residents, we searched the area for guides and after straightforward answers from Ruben I knew we had to give him the business.
Everything Ruben told me over the phone happened. We even got more than we bargained for by keeping our schedule flexible.
The hunt was quick because his guides have hunted the area for years, know the terrain, elk habits, and how to hunt. Opening morning big 5x5 down. My dad was ecstatic.
The horses were easy to ride for beginners. The food was hot, well prepared, on time, and tasty. Like I said before - everything that Ruben said we would get, we got, and more.
If you are a non resident looking for a wonderful outfitter to spend your points and cash on, I would recommend you Frazier Outfitting.
You will have to put in the work to be in shape. Our first season hunt happened at 12k feet. We walked 1 mile and 1k feet of elevation to get to our elk and you could walk more. This is not a set up, sit, shoot type of place. It is a wild elk hunt, on public land, for people who want the whole experience. Compared to OTC tags it is a walk in the park. That said, It is still elk hunting at 12k feet.
Thank you to Ruben and his team - Brent, Chris, Gavin, and the horses. We will never forget this hunt!!

Had a fantastic hunt! Second season rifle, still camped high due to warm conditions. We did get some snow, but still got out and hiked all day. Put on a number of miles but it was all worth it. Tagged out on a nice bull on hunt day 2. Loved having horses for the pack out!! Ruben is a great host and lead guide! I worked primarily with Brent, who was also excellent! The scenery is beautiful, the terrain is rugged and I enjoyed the whole experience! Would definitely recommend Frazier Outfitting!
