LKS Outfitters is Colorado’s largest public land outfitter, operating three well-known outfits: Horn Fork Guides, Flat Tops Wilderness Guides, and River’s Bend Outfitters. They guide hunts for elk, mule deer, black bear, moose, Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, mountain goat, and mountain lion across 7 big game units, 9 bighorn sheep units, 5 mountain goat units, and over 1 million acres for mountain lion. Utilizing over 120 horses and mules, LKS Outfitters accesses 44 wilderness camps for fully guided hunts, drop camps, and summer adventures in pristine wilderness areas like the Flat Tops and Collegiate Peaks.

Big Game Unit 24 Drop Camp Hunt
River’s Bend Outfitters (RBO) operates in the White River National Forest with the majority of the camps inside the Flat Tops Wilderness Area. Camps are only accessible on horseback or foot; some camps are up to a 4 hour ride. RBO offers... drop camp hunts. RBO operates in GMU 24. This GMU requires a handful of preference points for hunters to draw an archery or muzzleloader elk tag. The rifle season elk tags are a little easier to draw... as long as hunters put in for it, they get the tag.
