I went to the ranch for a hunting dog seminar. The facility is fantastic. Tim and his team are outstanding. They are very accommodating and you can feel they want you to have a memorable experience. Every meal was superb. There is lots of pheasants on the property. It was my first visit at the ranch but It won’t be my last.

Tim has a one of a kind place here. I have hunted many Pheasant at various farms in my life, this was hands down the best and most personalized experience I have had at a pheasant ranch! Not only does Tim take you out and keep you entertained with dialogue & jokes, his dogs are amazing creatures. Watching a pair of dogs work in tandem was pretty cool. The Pheasant were all roosters, big and great looking birds! The lunch server post hunt was a meal you will not forget, I guarantee it! I would also recommend staying in a room here as the Ranches in house chef cooks 5-Star meals! Meagan, thank you so much for the delicious dinner & breakfast, which is included in the price of the overnight stay. Our group shared paella, scalloped potatoes, a salad, roasted beat beg medley for dinner, with an apple/blueberry crisp/vanilla ice cream desert. Meagan will make you feel like mom is in the kitchen making family meals for you. Our entire group cannot wait to stay here again and share stories with Tim and fellow travelers. The memories made here will be with me for a long time. Do yourself a favor, go experience it!

We were traveling north up 95 and spent the night at the Lazy Bear ranch. What a an unexpected treat! This 200 acre ranch had beautiful new rooms with great bedding and fluffy towels. We liked that there were no TVs in the room, but beautiful photographs of different areas on the ranch. After meeting Tim, we took a hour-long stroll to the lake on the property, and saw heron, egret, deer, and a variety of birds. Beautiful sunset walk. Looks like a great wedding venue, which even had a large bridal dressing / prep room like nothing we had ever seen before. Highly recommended for a night or a longer stay.

With limited lodging options near Cambridge, our team had originally booked rooms at a chain hotel in Ontario—but after my first call with the owner, Tim Wrightman, I knew staying there would be a treat. Tim was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to accommodate us. He and his chef, Keith, helped us host a delicious client dinner on our first night, and Tim opened the bar for us each evening and even started a fire one night. Both our crew and our client were thrilled with the experience. The peaceful, remote setting and cozy accommodations provided the perfect backdrop for a restful night’s sleep after long workdays. I’d absolutely recommend Lazy Bear Ranch to anyone visiting the area—or anyone simply looking for a special place to unwind for a few nights.
