I had an absolutely incredible experience hunting at Kentucky Trophy Deer. From the moment I arrived, the entire operation was professional, welcoming, and extremely well-run. The guides know the land inside and out, and they worked hard to put me in the best possible position for success. The property is beautiful, well-managed, and loaded with quality deer — you can tell they take habitat and herd management seriously.
What really stood out was the attention to detail. Every sit was planned with purpose, every decision was explained, and I never once felt rushed or like “just another hunter.” The staff genuinely cares about making your hunt memorable.
I left with an amazing trophy and an even better experience. If you’re looking for a top-notch deer hunt in Kentucky, Kentucky Trophy Deer is the place to go. I’ll absolutely be back!

Absolutely the best hunting experience you could ever have, with the best folks around! These people are like family to me. After hunting here for five years and getting to know everyone, it truly feels like leaving home to go home. I highly recommend giving it a try — from the incredible hunting and camaraderie to the amazing food, it’s one unforgettable experience. The facilities are spotless and top-notch, from the lodge to the land, with food plots that are out of this world. You’ll see some of the most impressive deer you could ever imagine. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and my son. As soon as we arrived, we were treated as if we were part of Gary’s family. Lodging and the home cooked meals were out of this world. My intentions was to be patient but I tagged out the 1st afternoon.

The owner was one of the nicest people I've ever met. He cares about your experience as does the whole staff.
Our guide, David, fit perfectly in a trio with son and myself.
The accomodations were above excellent.
The food was above excellent.
I've never stayed anywhere and been asked that many times if we needed anything and felt like the people asking really cared.
You come in as a guest or patron but the atmosphere they have created you leave as friends with the owner, staff and the other guests.
I have a shared memory with my son that will last a both a lifetime.
I came expecting this to be a one time thing, but booked a hunt next year before we left.
This is a place where dreams are turned into memories.

I don't even know where to start:
1. Lodging -- the rooms were pristine (cleaner than any hotel I've ever been to) and the beds were really comfortable.
2. Food -- good Lord. I was there 4 days and probably picked up a freshman 15. The on-site ladies that prep the meals know what they're doing. If you're hungry at any point, it's your own fault. The breakfast was so good I could have eaten it for every meal. And, if she happens to make fried pork chops, you're really in for a treat!
3. Lodge -- a relaxing layout with tons of trophy bucks on the walls, a pool table, bar, and tv. But I preferred the front porch more than the inside. Comfortable rocking chairs and gliders look out over rolling hills and the gated entrance to the preserve. Lots of laughs and stories shared on that porch in our time there.
4. The game -- I think my picture says it all. The animals here are mind numbing. I literally couldn't wrap my mind around what I had just harvested (Or what any of my friends harvested either for that matter). And shooting a ram off the front of a safari jeep was just a cherry on top.
5. The people -- I'll save the best for last. The families that own KTD are grade-A top notch human beings. From the moment we got out of the truck they enforced one rule pretty strongly at the lodge, and that was to make yourself feel at home. They played pool with us at night, shared fish stories while playing cornhole in our down time during the day, and shared more laughs with us than the law should allow. It felt like I was at a hunt club with family and friends I'd known for years. Wyatt and Chris were our guides and made every moment of the hunt very memorable.
You're not just getting a trophy hunt. You're getting an experience you won't forget, with people that you'll want to come back and spend time with again. Two thumbs up, and A++
