★★★★★This was the best Whitetail hunt I could have hoped for. I took my two teen sons and a friend of mine. We sat with the teens and saw deer every day. My oldest was able to shoot a very nice buck and we created lifelong memories. We will be coming back! The cabin was warm and dry but still had that deer camp feel. It exceeded our expectations!

★☆☆☆☆This place is an absolute disaster. The cabin is disgusting with mouse feces and urine everywhere. James, the owner, will never come out to meet you or show you the property. He is deceitful about this property. If you look on book your hunt he has it listed for every week of every possible hunting season. This property gets way overhunted. He states there is a 125" minimum but good luck seeing any buck. In fact, good luck seeing any deer. Should you consider booking this place, make sure you ask plenty of questions. James will come up with plenty of reasons why we never saw a deer in 4 days of hunting...the weather was too warm, the moon wasn't right, the wind wasn't right, etc. This guy is full of excuses.

★★★★★Me and my Brother-in-law have Turkey hunted with them for a couple- three years now. We have either killed a good Turkey every time or we have seen them out smart us. Food plots have always been on point and action was there. It’s a do it your self hunt with a cabin that adds to the feel! Hunters will enjoy but want to be hunters will not. We book the next year now when we are on our way home and plan on coming back for a long time.

The new cabin is basic but comfortable as advertised. We hunted, slept, cooked food. Did what ever we wanted to at our pace. Even though we didn't kill a bird ( our choice ) it was a successful hunt.

★★★★★For starters the primitive cabin is a lot nicer than what I was expecting. It is fully furnished and comes with gas heat gas lights solar power for the tv and to charge your phones. There is a sink and propane stove for cooking. This has been some of the best deer hunting I’ve ever done in the state. There is Turkey and deer all over the place. During our 5 day hunt we seen approximately 40 does and about 25 turkeys. Unfortunately we never encountered a buck. I know they are in the area I’m just assuming they all went nocturnal. There is several tower blinds, blinds and ladder stands in the area. Each blind comes with chairs so don’t worry about bringing your own. The corn feeders were full the food plots looked great and the deer were plentiful.
★★★★★To start with this is a do it yourself hunt, the website plainly states that. I'll be honest after reading the two reviews that were left a week or so before we got here, I started to think what have I got myself into. Totally not the case. (When we got here there was trash in a few of the houses and we could track the previous hunters by what they left on the ground easier than we could track the deer. Maybe that's why they didn't see anything?) Anyway, the property is laid out well and all of the food plots were full except for one being a little thin but thats the one I saw the biggest buck in. There are rubs and scrapes throughout the property, we saw numerous deer while we were hunting. We have not connected with a trophy but that's not always the case. You are not promised a trophy buck that part is up to you. As far as the cabin, it's exactly what the owner said. It's primitive, having everything you need to camp including heat. No running water or power but it's a deer camp not a lodge. If you don't like that The Lincoln Lodge is 20 minutes away with very clean rooms that are cheap compared to other places. James the owner has been nothing but helpful everytime I have reached out to him. To sum it up, the place isn't perfect but doesn't come with a high fence perfect price tag either. If your looking for an affordable do it yourself hunt then go for it. I definitely hope to come back and give it another shot some day.
★★★★★My husband and I had the privilege of staying at the cabin on the property in January 2021. This was our second trip to this property. This property will test all your outdoor skills. James has the property set up for any wind at any elevation and who DOES NOT rely on a corn pile to keep his deer population there. I would recommend this block of woods to any serious bow hunter. You will not be disappointed!

I’ve hunted Michigan deer for 34 years, have planted my own food plots for the last eight years, and I haven’t come close to the types of plots the owner has here. I also liked that the owner gave me a full tour of the property and then let me decide how I wanted to hunt it. I was able to pick the plots I hunted over just by looking at the deer sign. I have shot nice bucks in Michigan but I saw more and bigger bucks on this property during my 3 day hunt than I’ve seen in Michigan in the last 10 years. I am definitely going back this fall.

This place has some of the best white tail bucks I have seen in all of Kentucky! I have harvested some of the most challenging big bucks that were 110% worth the time and effort put into hunting. Amazing hunting land and great food plots. Well worth the trip and money!

Free cabin use, etc. We don't cook food for you, walk you to stands, etc. The places that do are great, it's just not what we offer and that is reflected in the price. $800 5 day/night bow hunt 125" min. buck rule. $1,900 rifle 4 day/night hunt.
