Scott is one top notch fellow and very knowledgeable about turkey hunting. I’m 72 years old and this was, without a doubt, the BEST hunt of my lifetime

★★★★★My name is Keith. My Dad, Brother,and I went and hunted with Scott and his guy's at Jonathan Creek Outfitters. Let me tell you something we seen more deer than we will see for the rest of the season here in North Carolina. We Averaged seeing 20+ deer every sit. Up to 40 after a whole day. The lodging and Food was out of this world. If you went to bed hungry it was your on fault. It's an atmosphere like no other. Scott and his Crew know the Kentucky Whitetail like mad scientist. I've hunted for years and I learned alot from hanging around the campfire with them. The second morning Scott put me on my biggest bucks to Date. I arrowed an 8 point with kickers on his G2s at 22 yards that rough scored 144-3/4". It was a trip I'll always remember and I'll be back!!!

We were all covered up in deer for 5 days straight hunting all day long. His staff is the best. They all are super laid back good timing kind of people. Pretty sure all 6 of us have re-booked for next year already. Cant reccomend them enough! If you are looking for a awesome fun time with the chance to see a monster, this is the place. ★★★★★Went to hunt with Scott and his team for the December muzzeloader season at the Hickory Ridge camp. The camp, bunk house, land, staff, food and hunting are all great! I have never seen 30 deer come by a stand like I did here. I hope to take in the rut rifle hunt in the next few years.
★★★☆☆I have hunted the woods for 50 years. I have been to organizations like this in Texas, Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin and I own 100 acres in Alabama. With that said, I am experienced. This place was nice. Accommodations were great. Website shows a high success rate of hunts. However, their requirements are now 130 class deer or you pay $1,250 fine. After 14 of us paying $2,500 for a 4 day hunt, there were only 3 smaller deer killed, and all paid $1,250 extra for each of them yet no one saw a 130 class deer on the property. We were not provided with a personal guide.Just someone that dropped you off at the stand and picked you up. No doubt, there are a lot of deer on the property. However, not enough 130 class to support their claims. It was evident that not only were they making money on bringing in the hunters, they were also making money on the fines for lower class deer. Just not worth the money compared to other places.

Hundreds of cameras are monitored so you know exactly what deer are in the area and which ones are the target bucks you're after. The properties at JCO are phenomenal with large portions undisturbed. Their stands have been set meticulously according to deer movement and prevailing winds. Rest assured you won't be placed in a tree just to fill an empty tree stand. I keep coming back to hunt with Scott and his guys for their ability to put me in a high percentage position to harvest a trophy Whitetail year after year. ★★★★★The wife and I made our first trip to Jonathon Creek in 2012. As Scott says on his page this is a fair chase hunt. We hunted 5 days and saw more deer in 5 days of hunting than we would see in 5 years of hunting in our home state. The wife saw several shooters 4-6 in that time and I saw 1 as well. I chose not to shoot for I was looking for that special trophy. The wife took a beautiful 120 class 8 point. The guides are very knowledgeable about their deer herd and will help you in every way to make your hunt more enjoyable. The lodge has some of the best home cooking you could ask for as well as more than you can eat lol. Scott and his employee's really know how to keep you on top of the deer and your odds of seeing one that meets the minimum is great but the rest is up to you. We enjoyed ourselves so much we put our deposit down for the 2013 season before we left our 2012 hunt so this ought to tell you how much fun this is.
