It had everything you'd want - clean, comfortable beds, huge kitchen, amazing views and decor that was full on Montana! Nice people, nice place...I highly recommend it. Jim W.

★★★★★My sister's and I went with my youngest sisters boyfriend as well, neither had ridden before and my other sister and I had little experience. Jodi took all of that into consideration and paired us with the perfect horses! Jodi was kind, patient and funny! She was able to make my sister feel extremely comfortable and talked all of us through any questions we had. The horses did such an incredible job with us and seemed to know the path by heart! We had SO much fun riding and taking in the incredible views. We are already talking about coming back here on our next trip to Montana. If you have any doubts PLEASE sign up for this with friends and or family and I promise Jodi will do an amazing job making you feel comfortable and pair you with the perfect horse. My horse was Spike! He kept me giggling the entire time watching him sneak his snacks in along the trail. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Our group of consisted of 3 very inexperienced riders including my 8 year old son, 70 year old father, and myself (36F). The scenery was amazing and the horses were well mannered and very sweet. Jodie was attentive, helpful, knowledgeable and great to chat with and extremely generous with her time and horse knowledge. My 12 year old daughter had only ridden a horse once before and she(and me) returned to the barn happy, confident and thrilled to have experienced Montana on great horses with great people on a beautiful sunny Montana day! ★★★★★My family stayed with Scott and Jody Cargill a few weeks ago on a three night, two day guided fishing trip. They run a nice operation with clean, comfortable accommodations, good food, and a friendly staff. While my wife and daughter took a trail ride in the surrounding hills, I enjoyed some of the best trout fishing I’ve ever experienced on the Big Hole and Jefferson Rivers with Scott as my expert guide. I landed 14 fish the first morning and 27 the next. Many more we’re hooked but got off before being netted; the largest probably a 24” trout that broke the line. He uses good quality equipment that is well maintained and he is very conscientious about safety. All in all, we enjoyed our time at the Iron Wheel Guest Ranch and I’d recommend them to others.

★★★★★Alice ( my wife of 38 years) had dreamed of taking a bull elk to call her own! The moment John Cargill answered my call I knew Iron Wheel Outfitters was perfect for the task! Scott ( John and Sherry's) son was our guide. Scott had a heart of gold, knowing that guiding a lady in her 50's and a 60 year old husband tagging along would be a challenge! On our third morning Scott had put the puzzle together getting Alice within 415 yards of a 300 + 6 x 6 bull. As I Videoed Scott gently comforted Alice with her set up, One perfect shot that took out both shoulders, both lungs and the top of the big bulls heart was all captured! The hardest part of the hunt was wiping the tears as we had to depart newly found friends! I have hunted a lot in my life, I would put Iron Wheel at the top of the recommend list! But I refuse to respect a company or business that has obvious deep-seated hate or fear of someone different than them. Bigotry will get you nowhere in Montana or in or our world period. I will not expose anyone I know to your hatred. This business is ran by homophobes and bigots. Avoid at all costs.
