This place is top notch! Mike McCartney was my guide and he is an absolute GENIUS when it comes to hunting whitetail deer! We departed on the first day around 2:30 p.m. and it was a complete success! I personally am a bow hunter and this was an experience of a lifetime!! You have opportunities to see deer from all ages and size. The entire staff welcomes you in and takes exceptional care of you during the stay. Not to mention that lodge and property are well maintained and absolutely amazing. Hurricane Creek Lodge exceeded my expectations in every way during my first visit. Building on my husband's positive experience from the previous year, I was overly impressed by the exceptional hospitality, delicious home cooked meals, impeccable cabin cleanliness and comfort. The kitchen was well-stocked with a variety of snacks and beverages, along with fresh brewed coffee waiting for you first thing in the morning. The cozy porch, complete with a fireplace, offered the most relaxing views. I have hunted at Hurricane Creek for 7 years, and I had some of the most enjoyable hunting of my life. Dee and the guides will go the extra mile to help you connect with the deer you want. Don't expect it to be a canned hunt with deer crowded in tiny pens. Not at all. You will have to work for your deer. Some days you might see nothing or only does. That being said, they have some monster bucks but you have to do your part to bag one. The lodge is very nice with comfortable beds and satellite TV. The best thing of all is the food. WOW, that cooking! Be prepared to be stuffed. The trip is worth it if you don't do anything but enjoy the lodge and eat some of the best southern cooking you have ever had. The chocolate gravy is wonderful. Hurricane Creek is my happy place and I now try to hunt it twice a year Big Sarge
