I cannot express how fantastic Hollywood Farms is. From the moment you arrive everything is planned out in exquisite detail. The lodging in the mansion is first class 5 star. Then came the meals. The chef planned out and served absolutely amazing cuisine. They were not just meals, every one was a culinary masterpiece. There is a large covered area outside for gathering that allowed everyone to meet and get to know each other. The vehicles used for transport of hunters and dogs are amazing. Great thought went into each one for comfort and safety. I have hunted with many dogs over the years but I have never hunted with dogs so well trained as these dogs. Perfect pointers and the flushers working together as a team. The hunting areas were laid out extremely well for hunters of any ability. The hosts Chuck and Ellen such wonderful people and care deeply for every guest. I highly recommend Hollywood Farms for any occasion you might have but the hunting is superb.

There aren’t enough stars!!! My husband and I truly had the most magnificent stay. You can’t go wrong. They turned a non-hunter into an enthusiast. Thank you so much for a great weekend!

We had the absolute best time at Hollywood Farms! I cannot begin to explain the amount of generosity and hospitality I experienced at Hollywood Farms! Ellen is the ultimate host. Chuck is the ultimate gentleman and caretaker. Scottie is the ultimate chef. Shane is the ultimate guide. Thankfulness does not do it justice but is all I can give. Do yourself a favor and book a trip there today!!

My husband and I visited Hollywood Farms with a group of his colleagues and their spouses, and we had a wonderful time at this very special property. Chuck and Ellen are so welcoming, the house is lovely and inviting, and the grounds are so beautiful and peaceful. Chef Scottie always had fabulous food ready for us. I had a great time learning to shoot a shotgun - thanks for teaching me, Chuck! The highlight was quail hunting on Saturday morning. Our guide, Caleb, was so helpful, and it was so fun watching the dogs do their jobs! My husband and I would definitely love to visit another time and bring our kids. Thanks again, Chuck and Ellen, for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful property.

Wow. What an amazing property. Chuck and Ellen are the most amazing hosts. The hunts are incredible and so well done with exceptional guides and bird dogs. And the food was so incredible and well thought out. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for this stay. Highly recommend staying and exploring this property. It is a true treasure.

We had the absolute best time at Hollywood for a firm retreat!! First of all, the home is absolutely stunning. Classic, well preserved, beautifully decorated, and attention given to every last detail. So much thought went into making guests comfortable in this traditional plantation home. We were cared for at every turn, from snacks and coffee, to blankets for chilly mornings, to instruction during clay shooting. We had individuals with a wide array of experience with hunting, but everyone was made to feel completely comfortable. Cocktail hour by the fire with bruschetta two ways prepared by the private chef was a highlight! It was the perfect venue for spending time getting to know friends and coworkers a little bit better and just enjoy fellowship together. Such a unique experience to be able to shoot clays, share meals, and hunt together -- this is not your average retreat!! I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you Chuck, Ellen, Chef Scottie, and everyone at Hollywood!!!! It was a weekend we will all remember forever!

When you are a twelve-year-old boy, and you have gone quail hunting with your Uncles and Aunts every single day of the week after Christmas in Camden, South Carolina where she lived during the winter, you haven’t the slightest thought but that your life now included quail hunting in Camden for the week after Christmas, forever. In fact, those trips came to an end three years later. Back in Connecticut, on and off, mostly on, until I retired to Arizona, which is to say for many years, I chased Ruffed Grouse, duck and geese. At no time, however, did I let go of my first love, quail and my desire to hunt them again. I’ve been wishing and hoping, thinking and praying since at least1960 . This year, early in November, I did it. I traveled with my non-hunting wife to Jeffersonville, Georgia. My wife is particular about travel. She suggested, insistently, that we arrive a day early, relax, perhaps shoot some clay birds by way of refreshing my shooting skills, hunt for the next three days, then drive back to Atlanta the following day. Would that be possible? Ellen and Chuck Duggan run Hollywood Farms on land that has been in the Duggan family for generations. I had queried a handful of quail hunting outfits, most all of them in Georgia. Chuck responded with a call the next day. We spoke. Chuck told me our travel plan would be fine. Before we traveled, both Edie and I spoke and emailed with both Chuck and Ellen a number of times, always pleasant and reassuring. Included in our time at Hollywood Farms were: clay targets and ammunition; lovely accommodations in the Duggan’s restored, 1850 antebellum home; table served breakfast, lunch, and dinner with Chuck and Ellen; and all libations, wine, and spirits. My shooting skills were a tad rusty, but with Chuck’s coaching and encouragement, the rust came off quickly. The hunting exceeded my hopes: abundant birds, enthusiastic, superbly trained dogs, wonderful weather – one rainy afternoon, perfect for napping - and Chuck’s savvy, generous, entertaining companionship. Ellen took my wife, Edie, under her wing, ensuring Edie’s time was, well, perhaps not as rewarding as mine (in my opinion), but certainly a great pleasure. When we left Hollywood Farms, we were bidding farewell to new, good friends. Will we go back? If the good Lord wills, you bet!
