Just got back from an unforgettable bachelor party trip at HogWild USA with Matt and Tommy, and it couldn’t have gone better. We booked a one-day hog hunt and ended up taking down multiple hogs—plenty of action and an awesome experience all around. The equipment was top-notch, the guns were dialed in perfectly, and everything felt safe and well-organized from start to finish. The staff really stood out—professional, knowledgeable, and clearly committed to making sure everyone had a great and safe time (most of the group were first-time hunters). On top of that, the lodge was fantastic—comfortable, clean, and the perfect place to serve as home base. If you’re thinking about doing a hunting trip, especially for something like a bachelor party, I’d highly recommend HogWild USA. We’ll definitely be talking about this one for a long time.

If you are an avid hunter please don’t fall for this scam of a place the lodge is a trailer that’s falling apart when I opened the freezer in the kitchen it was literally full of coiled up frozen rattlesnakes in a trash bag, so called guides were constantly drinking taking you to and from stands there were no meals we met at a huddle house every morning and payed for our own food. The idea of hunting here is taking you through a gate (fenced in pen) dropping you off and they tell you where the pigs are gonna come from they then run them to you for your guaranteed kill! Very disappointed and am really surprised law enforcement doesn’t pull these guides over for duis running up and down the highway taking you to “stands” this place is very sketchy! This has been a few years back since I have been not sure if those former employees are still there but what I have read on these reviews looks like it’s still going on

Buyer Beware. While this outfitter has many positive Google reviews, our group of six did not have a similar experience. Upon arrival, there was immediate confusion regarding the hunt we had booked and prepaid a 50% deposit for. The owner, Tommy, incorrectly informed our guide, Matt, that we had only booked a one-day, non-guaranteed hunt. Fortunately, Matt had a copy of Tommy’s email confirming we had booked a two-day, two-night guaranteed hunt. Matt was a hardworking and genuinely good guide. However, despite having access to over 1,000 acres, we were placed on the same two small parcels of land (approximately 60 acres each according to onX, with the actual hunted area being only a fraction of that) for both nights. Virtually none of the planned activities or pickup times we were promised actually occurred. The first night produced two small hogs (85 lb. and 110 lb.) among the six hunters. The second day was especially disappointing — we were told to be ready at 10:30 AM for a day hunt to “really get into them,” but no hunt materialized. We later learned Tommy had canceled it due to heat without communicating this to us, leaving us waiting for over four hours. We ultimately hunted the same locations again from 7 PM until 3:30 AM, resulting in one additional 110 lb. hog. Out of our group of six, only three hogs were harvested in total. One hunter never saw a pig, and two others saw animals too far away or too deep in thick brush to shoot. When we inquired about the missing day hunt, we were told the guide could offer an extra day, but could not commit the lodge. The “guaranteed hunt” was explained to us as a guarantee of the opportunity to harvest a hog, yet this did not prove true for half our group. Communication throughout the trip was consistently poor and unprofessional. Tommy never introduced himself, provided no explanation for the issues, and offered no compensation or remedy for those who did not have a successful hunt. No staff member even came to see us off, and we left the lodge unlocked as instructed. The accommodations and food were very good. Unfortunately, the overall level of professionalism, organization, and communication fell well short of what is typical for a guided hunt at this price point. We would not recommend this outfitter based on our experience.

Hog wild does it right, lodging, service and food were fantastic. Tommy is the grill master and his team made this a great time. Having hunted other camps, we won’t go anywhere but Hog Wild for our hog hunts. Matt was exceptional when it came to putting us on the hogs, 6 guys took 8 pigs. I booked a hunt the day before after a long week of hunting on public land near by. The cold front that came through kept the hogs from moving much. It was a long night in a blind waiting on a hog to come by they had some hogs on camera nearby, but no shot opportunities. The next afternoon they took me out for a spot and stalk hunt. I got to see over a dozen good sized hogs. I ended up with a nice boar. I can't say enough good things about my guide Matt he's good company, and he went above and beyond to get me a hog. Including cooking me an awesome ribeye steak in the middle of the night before putting me in another spot. He does an awesome job of quartering up your game to for a very reasonable price.

Although Matt, the guide, was great I would not recommend this outfit. Don't waste your time or money unless you just want to pay extra to shoot a pig in a small area. You'll be placed in stands or blinds on private open land that is over-hunted; hunters coming in daily and nightly. Even at night, you will just see a lot of raccoons. Your better off to just hunt public land.

An absolute amazing hunting experience. Lodging and food were fantastic. Tommy communicated very well leading up to the trip and made sure the trip was beyond our expectations. Guides Matt and Tyler were awesome and went above and beyond to accommodate all hunting needs. Where the stands were was beautiful. Was able to hunt fields woodlands and swamps and they got me on an absolutely amazing hog. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Me and a couple of buddies from my college headed down for the day and from the moment we got there everything was just downhill. Their website promises “a rifle range set up nearby to get you on target when you arrive at camp” that we didn’t even see or have mentioned to us, guides who are “very knowledgeable and can help you every step of the way” and “Methods of hunting wild hogs [including] spot and stalk, still hunting over corn feeders and baited roads and trails where the Hogs live and breed”. We were also told that we were receiving a “free upgrade to a guaranteed hunt” and if what we received was an upgrade I can not imagine the base product. What we received was a “guide” who dropped us off in blinds/tree stands who then began to chase hogs on an ATV with hopes of us harvesting one-something that to me doesn’t feel like proper hunting. Our guide also drove us to and from blinds while openly drinking beer, did not guide at all other than dropping us in blinds for 3-6 hours at a time, and told us a story about how he cut a man’s penis off which made us all feel just generally uneasy and uncomfortable. We were also left with inadequate equipment and my “night vision” scope that was provided was dead within minutes of the sun going down and as a first time hunter the experience of being left by myself in a blind, at night with no way to see anything was less than good. All in all, this place is a complete and total scam in comparison to what they offer. There was no “guide”, there was no “spot and stalk”; instead there was multiple instances where I felt unsafe or uncomfortable.

Listen guys and gals. I go on hunting trips, and this place isawesome. It's a great site, friendly people, and great lodging. As to the lodge, super clean, smells good, snacks and drinks galore, and great meals. The rooms are temperate with fans and plenty of plug-ins. The owner is kind and knowledgeable and hospitable, and the guides are knowledgeable, helpful, and instructional without being a "know-it-all" or rude. Excellent value for the money, and they process the meat while you're there. If you leave empty handed, hungry, angry, or unhappy, that's on you.

I had scheduled and paid a deposit on August 14 for a hunt with my son as a Christmas present and I received a phone call 2 weeks prior to the scheduled hunt for December 26th saying he had “over booked” and could not accommodate on the already booked dates. The owner did say he could reschedule however we had already taken off work for those days (that is why I booked in August). It is a shame that even though we could not reschedule he did not even offer a discount for other dates.I did check with the owner multiple times to get a refund, kept getting the run around. After making a claim with my credit card company, I finally got my deposit back. I do not do google reviews however I do want folks to know my experience when they are looking for a top rated guide service. In my opinion, not the way to run a business!!! Thanks for reading.

What an incredible 3 day hunt my son and I had over new years. I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews but I am glad we went, and the whole experience was amazing. The accommodations were great for a hunting lodge and it was very clean. The food was amazing from the breakfast casserole to the steak dinner we loved it all (there was even a good beer selection always in the refrigerator for when I got done hunting for the night). Matt the guide whent out of his way to make my sons 1st hog trip amazing. I wish we would have got another hog or a deer but that's how hunting goes sometimes. After experiencing the 3 day hunt, I now believe some of the negative reviews are from people who do a one day hunt expecting guaranteed hogs/deer, and people still have to do their part to not be seen, heard, or smelled. We will be back!

Me and my son came down from MD and this being our first ever hog hunt. I elected to do a guaranteed hog hunt for my son now understand this this was a fenced property and they do push the hogs around but . I watched several hogs escape the fence these hogs can come and go as they please so they are 100% wild hogs and . I can’t say enough about our guide Matt he was outstanding Mr Tom was so accommodating with all the questions I had prior to coming down. I can’t say enough about Matt and the other gentleman that was with him they certainly went above and beyond to get a hog in front of my son. I bought a three day trip for my son’s Christmas/Birthday present. We decided to go with a guided trip as this was a first time hunt in GA (decades of hunting in WY for his Papa who also went). Among the many things that were less than great … the “guide” overslept, there was expired milk in the fridge, and the area was so overcrowded on the second day (with more groups coming in according to what they were told) that the boys left a whole day early, knowing that all the noise would scare away anything that would have potentially come. I did give them two stars because my kiddo did manage to get a hog but the overall experience was not great. This was supposed to be a once in a lifetime experience for my 13 year old who lost his dad a few years ago and was going on his first real hunt, and to say it was disappointing is an understatement.
