He was down to earth and excited to share his thoughts and intel, even when I wasn't a paying customer (yet). I continued to bump into him, text him and meet his fellow guides. Everyone in his organization was just as down to earth and willing to offer advice as I pursued punching my tag in their back yard. I'm already looking at when I can connect with the GCO team for a hunt and a long distance shooting clinic. Can't wait to have them dial me in with a finely tuned long range rifle of my own. ★★★★★What an amazing group of people over at Gypsum Creek Outfitters! From the minute you shake hands and introduce yourselves, you feel like you've been life long friends. Tim and Gin are super accommodating and won't hesitate to help you with whatever you need during your stay. Mike, Davis, Colin and all the other guides and crew are knowledgeable, dedicated, super energetic and will help to make sure you accomplish your goal and make sure your trip is successful. When I spoke to Tim over the phone the first time before making a decision to hunt with them, he told me "we get after it over here". Well, I can say first hand, you "will get after it". If you come prepared for the terrain, listen to their expertise, have practical expectations (it is hunting after all), you will become a better hunter, have gained some additional priceless knowledge and leave having made a bunch of new friends. Oh, you'll have a few coolers full of wonderful meat too. Looking very forward to hunting with these folks for years to come. I can't recommend them enough.
★★★★★I spent my birthday today with all the guys from Gypsum creek and it was hands down the best day I’ve had in a while! Me, my uncle and my cousin got up to the property late Saturday night and stayed in their onsite cabins (much more accommodating than expected btw) and woke up early to a breakfast Tim prepared before we got to shooting. I am not a novice shooter or hunter but am by no means the most skilled either. We spent the day learning about tactical shooting on targets from 425yds-950yds. The longest shot I had made before today was 325yds. By the end of the day I was shooting a 12x12 target at 950yds with confidence. The guys talked us through every potential variable that may come up during a hunt and gave me the confidence and knowledge on how to take that shot in the field. If you’re thinking about upping your long distance shooting or looking for a great group of guys to outfit your hunt don’t look any further than Gypsum creek, these guys are the real deal!

★★★★★I went down with my cousin for a mule deer hunt. We hunted 2nd season mule deer with Tim. We were paired with Colin for a guide. 5 stars for Colin. Everything was great!! The guys worked there tails off for us. Plenty of snow and that never stopped us from getting anywhere. Accommodations were comfortable and everything I would expect on a mountain hunt. Tim knows the area and works hard for his clients. We will go back at some point and Tim will have our business. We wouldn’t even consider looking for other options.

★★★★★Tim was a fantastic guide for my first rifle 2023 bull elk hunt in unit 44. He knows the terrain like the back of his hand and is relentless in going after the elk. He has great access to choice locations on public land and all the equipment needed to get in and out. At the end of the day results are what count and Tim made it possible to get my first bull elk after 5 years of trying! I would not hesitate to work with Tim and his crew again if I get another tag for the area.

The food was excellent, every single meal was quality & filling, even when we packed them with us! Whether hunting for healthy populations of elk, black bear and world class mule deer, Tim will find them for you. Small sections of private are scattered around a large area of public national forest land that nobody but Tim is able to access. If you’re looking for minimal crowds, public land, and a wide selection of trophies, then Gypsum Creek Outfitters is the one to use.

★★★★★If you are interested in getting into true wilderness, with zero crowds and enourmous animals this is place for you. within just a mile or 2 of the drop camp you can encounter world class mule deer, monster black bear, and Elk for days. The elk can be so thick in there you will smell them from hundreds of yards away. Tim will get you on the elk, he will expertly navigate you through all the terrian. within 30 hours of my hunt, Tim called in a beauitful, huge 6x6 bull wthin 8 yards. Hit him broadside with my bow and animal dropped quickly. With zero pressure from other hunters, it almost feels as if you are in a nature preserve. If black bear or deer are more your thing, you are in the right spot. With world class mule deer, and potential state record black bear, you will not be dissapointed. The drop camp is my favorite, Tim and Ginny will provide all the essential items (minus food) and make sure you are set up and ready. Will 100% be booking a hunting trip again with them!!!
