I had the privilege of being an observer on a bighorn ram hunt with Terry for my father-in-laws hunt. Terry is a master in the hunt for bighorns in his knowledge on the animal and setting you up for a shot! Watching him guide for bighorn sheep is like playing Where’s Waldo?—except Waldo is camouflaged against a cliff a mile away, and somehow he still spots him before you’ve even put your binoculars up. Camp was great and conversations were too. This will be a hunt that I won't forget. Thank you GPO!

The gents at GPO were amazing. As an Eastern whitetail guy, I looked for several years for an outfitter to help me realize a dream. After a phone conversation with Rick, I was sold. He kept me well informed leading up to the hunt, was very honest about what I should expect and was a pleasure to work with. (When he tells you to get in the best shape you can....DO IT. It definitely makes the experience so much better.) Once my boots hit the ground, Cole guided me all over the mountains...I should say UP the mountains. He was knowledgeable and trustworthy. I told him to take me to the elk, no matter how hard or how far we might go. He obliged. We worked hard and fast and when the moment came, he put me exactly where the bull of a lifetime was standing. Luckily, I made a successful shot and my dream had come true. After some time taking in the moment, Cole had him quartered then down the mountain in the dark we went. Cole was a pro during the pack out, and was extremely patient with a 47 yr old with a bad knee who wanted to help! At the bottom, Rick and Colt welcomed us and the celebration began! It was then back to the barn to take a lot of pics and put the big guy in the walk in. After a late 12:30 am dinner, I finished the night with a hot shower and a comfortable bed. I enjoyed every part of the experience. Everyone I met at GPO were great. If you are interested in a big game hunt in Colorado, give Rick Smith a call.

Just got done harvesting a mature bull elk in 3rd rifle season. Rick from Geneva Park Outfitters in Bailey, CO was invaluable in helping us get the animal down off the mountain safely. What a great guy and great help. If you draw a tag in one of the units they guide in, I would recommend GPO without reservation. Thanks Rick!!!
