We had a fantastic wild pig hunt with Clay, who is a great guy and hunter. We were able to hunt huge, beautiful ranches, and the converted grain silos made awesome accommodations in a private area of the ranch where we could sight in our rifles, hang out by the campfire, and even take a hot shower. The whole experience was top-notch and we saw and harvested some amazing wild boars. I’ve hunted wild pigs in California several times in the past and this was by far my favorite total experience. I highly recommend!!

Had the opportunity to hunt Avila ranch in San Ardo with the Frontera hunting team Jan 2026. The 4 of us in my group had a ball. Clay and his team (Blayne and Tristan), are top notch guides with a passion to hunt. They spent the time to understand our varied skills and wants and delivered a memorable experience. The Avila ranch is a truly amazing and beautiful location. The lodging "Camp", was perfect with our own Silo hut, separate large bathroom Silo, clean showers and multiple private commodes. I absolutely loved the massive metal fire pit and loads of oak firewood. The guys know their way around the ranch and where to find the game. We all had excellent opportunities to choose and shoot quality pigs, each of us bagged our own personal trophy. As a highlight we even had the luxury of spotting Tule Elk moving across the ranch. I want to highly recommend Frontera to anyone who wants to experience top of game guided hunting. It's obvious that Clay and the family have been at this for several generations. Thank you Frontera team! We will be back.

Had a great time hunting with the folks at Frontera. Had a group of 4 eager to get some meat in the freezer and this hunt didn’t disappoint. Plenty of pigs around all weekend and got some fun hunting in. Guides worked really hard to put us on good animals and taking care on cleaning the animals and getting g in the freezer. They were very accommodating in letting us bring our trailers and stay on property for some extra peace and quiet. Great time to unplug from work and have some fun with your friends! Can’t wait to get out again next year!
