Went on a quail hunt for my husband’s birthday and we had a blast! These guys really know what it takes to get birds flying. It was snowing buckets the entire time, but our guide, Eli, still made sure we had birds to get. It’s very rare to have so much snow in GA, but it didn’t stop the staff (or the dogs!) from making sure we had a good time. It was the first hunt I had ever been on, and I’ll definitely be back again. The staff here are so knowledgeable and so kind. This is the place to go if it’s your first hunt, or if you’ve been doing it for decades.

Alex and the crew do an awesome job. Most people don’t realize what it takes to get a place ready to hunt. The birds are flying good too. I recommend Etowah valley game preserve to people all the time. A+

Had a great hunt today. Our guide Eli was great, and the dogs preformed way better than we did. Excellent time, and memories that will last a lifetime,

Great place if you wanna go shoot birds. Alex and his team will set you up, you won’t be disappointed. One of the few places in the state that does pheasant and chuck at as well. They also have a sporting clay course. That’s really good as well.

I've been shooting here 2 years and absolutely love it!

Alex was a great host and took care of us like we were life long friends. Kevin and his dogs were phenomenal. Thanks for providing memories for me and my grandfather to share for years. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time. Seen all our birds. We wound up with 68 quail out of 72. We also got 10 chuckers.

Took my son on his first bird hunt today here. Alex, crew and dogs were jamb up. Felt safe as can be being able to make sure my son was locked on next to me behind hay bales. They have ammo as well. I made the mistake of bringing some low brass. I am scratching my head why we have not done this before? Alex was very responsive and all there were great! Thank you

★★☆☆☆
Six of us paid for 24 birds each. Hunted two groups of three with 72 birds per group. Problem was in my group if we shot every bird we saw it could not have been no more than 35-40 birds. Even some of those were not really legitimate opportunities. Our second group had a better hunt but did not see 72 birds but was overall pleased. My group was very disappointed in the overall hunt. Plus we hunted on a large steep hill side where walking was difficult and there was rarely any place to stand on level ground. Guide did an okay job but the birds were simply not there or the dogs could not find them. Regardless we did not receive the hunting opportunity that we paid for. Again very disappointed and probably will not return.

I always enjoy shooting sporting clays at Etowah Valley. The staff is nice and informative, the course is clean and well organized. The traps work, and the stations have a good range of easy to challenging. I’ve taken several people who were fist time shooters and they thoroughly enjoyed the sport as well!

Wonderful time hunting!! Our guide, Mr. Emery, was top notch!!! He made the whole experience even better. His pups, Ruthie and Axel, we’re amazing as well. Watching the dogs work was as much fun as anything! A top notch experience and highly recommend it!! We will definitely be back!

I just went over the weekend. My boss took me and my co-workers for one of their guided hunts. I can't say enough about how friendly and welcoming everyone was from our arrival right up til we left. We split into 2 three shooter groups each having a guide with 2 dogs. The 2 guides we had were father and son, and both were just great guys. We couldn't have been happier or more satisfied with not only the job them and their dogs did. But also for the amazing time and experience we had! I have rated and reviewed a good number of places over the years on here. And if I was to pick one out of all of them as best deserving the 5 stars in my rating, it would be this place hands down. 👍🏼

Went on a guided pheasant and quail hunt. People are friendly and respectful. Our guide was very pleasant but his dogs didn’t work as hard as he did. We hunted the field they called Kansas. We paid to hunt 10 pheasant, 8 of those to our surprise were hens. That’s right only 2 roosters!! The field was a mine field of sorts. Beavers had made many holes and one person in our group stepped into a hole falling waist deep. It was a miracle that he didn’t break his leg. Afterwards we heard stories of many others in that field having similar experiences. If you are hunting pin raised birds, why would you put them in an area so dangerous?! I can’t speak for other guides or other fields, but we will not return. Instead shoot their sporting clays courses, they are spectacular.

My first bird hunt at Etowah Valley Game Preserve was such a fun experience! From the amazing lunch cooked at the facility to the instructions from our guide on the hunt, It was a blast and stress free. I will be coming back soon. We cooked the Pheasant and Chukkar on our Big Green Egg that night. They were delicious...
