I met the Elk mountain crew one night out scouting after a snow when our Jeep got stuck. They took the time to get us back on track and we’re super friendly. It was obvious they knew the area like the back of their hand. The next day we were hunting for a cow elk overlooking a big meadow. In the middle of the day they drove by, so we stopped to chat and thank them again for getting us unstuck (we were not looking forward to sleeping in the Jeep). They suggested we move a few hundred yards further from where we were set up because they thought we would have a higher probability of success. Just like they thought, about 5:30, we were almost trampled by 4 bulls (1 huge one and 1 big one) and about 6 cows. My daughter got her 1st cow elk, and it was an amazing experience. When we Elk hunt in the future, it will be with Elk Mountain outfitters.

We paid for a private land 1 on 1 hunt. We hunted exclusively on public land and had to share guides. Meat care after the kill was non existent. Unit 11 has a decent number of elk, but I only had 2 days to hunt because I had to wait for my dad to tag out. I would not recommend this outfitter.
