For my first Elk hunt I wanted to get my feet wet before I invested time and money aquiring preference points and investing in guide services. I was planning an over the counter hunt when I came across these guys. Their DIY hunt was reasonably priced. So I called Chad up and talked to him about the hunt and time frame of drawing a tag for this unit for first rifle. I decided to put my deposit down and go for it. Over the time it took to draw the tag, Chad never failed to answer a mesaage or call with any questions I had. Once I got on the hunt I enjoyed some of the most beautiful country I have ever hunted. Mule deer and pronghorn every where. To be a first time Elk hunter we managed to get on a couple herds and harvest 2 bulls between me and my hunting buddy. It was the hunt of a lifetime for me. Little bit sweeter doing it on my own without a guide. Top notch guys and we plan on going back as much as we can!

This outfitter has the best bang for your Buck literally. With me checking out 40 different guides services and Easter plain is just on the other side of the Wyoming Boarder in Colorado which had the biggest population of Pronghorns. Easter Plains had the cheapest cost out of the 40 outfitters I looked at and We had a group of 6 hunters and the two guides we had for antelope hunting are extremely friendly and knowledgeable of hunting speed goats. We scheduled a 3 day hunt but had all of our antelope in a day in a half. We could have had all 6 guys in our group get their bucks in the first day if we weren’t so picky. The ranch we hunted on is like a Time Machine going back to the old western days without another building in site and seeing pronghorn running everywhere (saw about 30 to 40 bucks in a day) with the average buck antler size being between 13-15 inches. Our guides helped us with skinning and caping out our bucks and offered us lunch in the mean time. And ever shot we had was with in 300 yards and we were only about 30 minutes from the Rocky Mountains which would have made for another adventure after hunting

Had a great experience with these guys during the 2022 archery antelope season. Good number of goats on the property and plenty of activity to watch all day. I managed to arrow a good buck at 24 yards over a water hole. I watched this buck for almost 10 hours chasing off other bucks, making scrapes, grazing, and bedding until he finally got thirsty. Really cool to witness.
Chad runs a great outfitter service and they communicate very well. Brad was my guide, and it was a pleasure having him around throughout the day.
Highly recommend and will definitely be going back with these guys for elk and mule deer, and maybe even another goat someday.

During the hunt, they were great.. asking shooting comfort levels, discussing their process and land familiarity. It literally felt like I was hunting with friends. I was looking to take my son on his first Pronghorn hunt when I found Eastern Plains Outfitters. After going to the website and seeing the locations and the reasonable prices I decided to give Chad a call. Chad went over and above to assist my son and I through the process as non residents. After about 5 minutes into our hunt, my son and I felt like we had been hunting with Chad and Josh for years. They both worked hard to find my son and I Pronghorn and we were both successful on day 1. If you are looking for a guide service in Colorado, do yourself a favor and give Chad a call.

My dad and I did a cow elk hunt with Chad. We spotted a herd of elk from a distance the night before our hunt, and the next morning Chad knew exactly where to look for them. Soon we had them spotted and the stalk began. We were able to work into a great setup and dad and I pulled off a double kill out of the same herd. Our hunt went quickly and smoothly but it was obvious that Chad knew his ranch, knew how the animals moved about the area, and he handled everything like a skilled professional. We would happily hunt with him again and can endorse him with confidence to anyone looking for any of the hunts he offers.

I met Chad at the Sportsman show in Denver. He was very personable and full of information about his outfitting service. I booked an antelope hunt with him in GMU 87. I just completed my hunt and I can't recommend chad enough. I've hunted with other outfitters before and Chad is the most accommodating, generous and honest outfitter I've ever hunted with. His hunt in GMU 87 was spectacular, his blinds are in great shape, the property is very large and full of animals. A day of scouting we saw over 100 antelope on the property. While hunting we had constant contact with animals throughout the day. Chad did a fantastic job getting us in the right spot. While we were in our blind Chad provided us with a great cooler full of cold drinks, snacks, and lunch. During the day he continued to scout the property and give us updates on other areas of the property. When Chad was in sight of us he would fill us in on movement of animals we couldn't see. I highly recommend Chad and his outfitting at Eastern Plains Outfitters. I will absolutely be telling everyone I know about Chad, and I'll be hunting with him again in the future on some of his other properties. I encourage anyone to reach out to Chad for more info as everything he tells you will be open and honest!
