★★★★★It's difficult to put into words how much I've enjoyed my nine spring bear hunts with Cody Carr's Hunting Adventures. Cody and his family are all directly involved in making every hunter feel at home and are sensitive to everyone's personal needs. The accommodations are comfortable. The food is abundant and features Amish cooking. Overnight horseback hunts are also available for those who don't want the comfort of the lodge. I've had a number of guides through the years. All of them have been extremely knowledgeable and hard working. They know the roads less travelled and have always put me on multiple bears. They will spare no effort to get hunters a good shot then recover a bear. Perhaps the best recommendation I can give is to say that I've signed up for my tenth consecutive spring bear hunt with Cody and think about it every day

My best friend and I doubled up on bears in 4 days during our 5 day hunt, and the entire experience was outstanding. The lodge accommodations were very comfortable, and the food was great. Be sure to try Rachel’s homemade bread, baked fresh every day. The snack station was fully stocked with quality items—dried fruit, Liquid I.V., protein bars, trail mixes, chips, candy, and just about anything else you could imagine. I’ve been on several outfitted hunts, and Cody runs a straightforward, solid operation. This truly is a family run outfit, and you can tell they’re passionate about providing a memorable experience. Our guide Jake was dedicated to getting us tagged out, and most importantly, if you go into the hunt ready to learn, listen to your guide, and push yourself a bit, you will be successful here 100%. The team of guides here were also great to talk with around the dinner table, and we had some really good conversations about hunting in general throughout the trip. This was a birthday trip for me, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you to the CCHA team for a top notch hunt. I will 100% be back.

★★★★★I went on a wolf trapping hunt and it was an amazing experience. Wade was my guide - he has a lifetime of trapping experience. He taught me how to set traps and understand how the wolves move. We trapped a beautiful wolf on the second day. Cody and his family are wonderful people, very personable, and made me feel like part of the family. And all the guides were super fun to get to know. As a single female hunter, I felt very safe all week and had a private cabin. Thank you Cody, KoLiss, and Wade for an unforgettable experience. See you next year!

★★★★☆The accommodations were nice, the food was great, and the staff was very friendly. We hunted the week of Thanksgiving for deer/elk and had decent hunting weather, but legal game was very scarce. Out of our crew of 4 hunters we hunted very hard all week and saw 1 elk calf and a few non-legal mule deer total. The 4 hunters who roomed next to us also didn’t see much or get anything. Overall a great experience, but low probability of punching a tag.

We hiked 8.2 miles up the mountain, and thanks to our guide Jake, I was able to harvest my first bull elk. Jake went above and beyond—he got the elk up the mountain and packed out with horses like a true professional. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights on the night of the harvest. An absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

★★★★★Just finished a 6 day elk/deer archery hunt at Cody Carr’s. Have to say it was one of the best outfitter experiences I have ever had. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful if you have any questions. The knowledge from Cody and the guides is first class. I was paired with Stew and let me say this guy knows exactly what it takes to get you on the game and knew how to get you up close. Everything he said they were going to do they did. We were on multiple bulls every day. Plenty of deer both mule deer and whitetail. 2 mule deer one over 160 and another just under 160. Never have I seen someone that is so positive and driven like Stew was, guys a hiking beast he can go anywhere and never slows down. All of the lodging was very nice and very clean with super comfortable beds. The food was first class, large home cooked meals with way more than enough to feed everyone. Even had a steak night with every cut you could want, very high quality beef, excellent after a long day in the mountains. I was successful on my hunt on harvesting and nice bull elk but I would write the same review regardless. After harvest they assist in meat prep and getting game out for you even in the most rugged situations (huge thanks to Patrick for helping us pack him out). This is a first class family operation with great hospitality, great food, fantastic guides, excellent hunting ground, 5 star lodging. 100% will be returning!!! Thank you guys so much for a unforgettable experience!!!!!

★★★★★Writing this on my last night at the lodge after an absolutely incredible week with my 14 year old son. Yes, we were very successful on the trapline (our guide went above and beyond applying every bit of his 30 yrs of experience) but that is not the only reason our trip was “successful”. I just spent a week with my boy in mountains carved by God watching and appreciating his creation and participating in keeping a healthy ecosystem so my future grandchildren can see what I’ve seen someday. The family here at Cody Carrs made us feel like family. Food was fantastic and accommodations excellent. I’ll be back.

★★★★★We showed up the very end of January and that area had not had fresh snow for roughly 2-3 weeks. The snow that was there was sugar and hard to distinguish fresh mountain lion tracks from couple day old tracks. Cody’s guides and their hounds did an amazing job finding tracks. The very first morning they found several tracks and two of the three clients tagged out the first day. The second morning they found more fresh tracks and were able to tag out the last client for the week. Everyone in camp had a great time, filled their tags, and was very happy with the lion they harvested. I highly recommend Cody Carr Hunting Adventures.

★★☆☆☆Saved $$,$$$ a couple of years for the hunt of a lifetime with my teenage son. The accommodations are really nice. We met the owner and a few other staff at orientation. Great people. Our guide was great and a pleasure to be with. They provided all meals (which were good) and snacks during the stay. The downside of our trip was the lack of wildlife seen. During a 5 day Elk/Mule Deer/Bear/Wolf hunt, we saw a total to two (2) elk (Bull & Cow) over a mile away and no way to get to them. No mule deer. Did not expect to see bear (November). No wolf. This was a huge disappointment given it was the 2nd week of season and we were told we WOULD see LOTS of wildlife each day. I would not give such a low rating (and quite frankly hate to) if we would have at least seen ANY sort of wildlife. We essentially paid some serious money to hike for 5 days. The whole purpose of this hunt was to keep my son from getting too discouraged and it only exasperated it. Yes, its hunting on public land but when you pay a guide, you'd expect to at least see SOMETHING. The purpose of a guide is to put you on the animals. Readers: Take this for what its worth to you. A couple of guys that week had small harvests and other had missed shots at the other camp, but our camp saw NO wildlife.
