We had a wonderful stay at Bruce Spruce Ranch and would absolutely camp here again. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by incredible scenery. Our campsite was on the side of the mountain, and the views were absolutely amazing. It was my first time camping on a mountainside, so feeling the slight slope took a little getting used to, but that’s all part of the experience. The ranch has great amenities for campers, including clean restrooms, warm showers, and ice available on-site, which made our stay even more comfortable. It was the perfect balance of enjoying the outdoors while still having the conveniences you need. Overall, this is a beautiful, well-maintained campground with stunning views and great accommodations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Bruce Spruce Ranch to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain camping experience.

My family and I have been staying at the Bruce Spruce Ranch for over 30 years. We loving coming here because there is so much to do! The San Juan National Forest is right at your doorstep as well as Treasure Falls, scenic overlooks, fishing ponds, the continental divide, hiking trails and horseback riding. The cabins are beautiful and well taken care of. The beds are comfy, showers are hot and they even have wifi now.

Once you visit this ranch, you’ll want to come back over and over again. My parents started bringing me as a kid, and now I bring my own kids here. Bruce Spruce Ranch is a very peaceful place, nestled in a quiet valley at the bottom of Wolf Creek Pass, just 15 minutes north of Pagosa Springs. Here you can get back to nature, where you sleep in a cabin warmed by a potbelly stove with firewood you chop yourself. Kids have tons of activities, including multiple playgrounds, a creek to play in, hiking trails, tetherball, cornhole, and dozens of free board games and puzzles. So relax and sit on the porch swing - every cabin has one, or catch some rainbow trout for dinner in the fully stocked pond. Book a horseback ride, hike up to Treasure Falls, or just sit in an adirondack chair and watch the chipmunks and hummingbirds. Gather the family around the nightly campfire to enjoy hot dogs and s’mores, and spend the night telling stories under a night sky with millions of stars, free of light pollution. And if you need to reconnect to the outside world, the ranch offers Starlink with fast WiFi in every cabin and throughout the RV park. Spend a few days here, and I promise you’ll be back.

We had a site for our trailer, only stayed two days. Spaces are very tight, first day there, the neighboring campsite backed into my trucks bumper. He let me know and it was scratched, not a big deal, only mentioned to show an example of the tight spaces. It can get loud with other campers playing music while playing games outside and you can hear traffic, trucks with Jake breaks coming down from Wolf Creek Pass.

Tucked away in a little valley, just 15 minutes outside of Pagosa Springs and only a half mile away from Treasure Falls, this gem of a campground had us in awe. The surrounding mountains are absolutely striking. Beautiful sites (ours was full hookups) amongst the trees and nature trails that wind around through three different spring-fed ponds... a great place to just enjoy nature. Outside the office were several hummingbird feeders and it was fun to watch the swarms of them playing and/or fighting with each other! There's a tetherball pole to get your heart pumping with a friend, and you can even chop your own wood if you like! 😃 Very chill place and the hosts were amazing. Highly recommended.

We LOVE this place! The campground is reminiscent of what camping and RVing should be…nature at its best. The sites are spacious with manicured grounds. It is owned and operated by the original owners. No corporate office here! You receive personal service and communication. Oh! Wolf Creek runs through the property, gorgeous! The three fishing ponds are beautiful! If you’re looking for the new corporate RV “parking lots” for your next vacation, don’t come here! This place will soothe your soul.

We made reservations here after a friend recommended it. We ended up foregoing our reservations once we arrived and saw how they pack the RVs in like sardines. That is not the kind of camping we like to do. The lady we spoke to on the phone to make reservations was nice, so it gets one star. There are nicer campgrounds in the area and we stayed at one with plenty of room per site and felt like we really could enjoy our space instead of feeling like we were cramped and shoved between as many trailers as they could fit.

This place is incredible! AMAZING customer service. Eugena is such a lovely person and Craig even gave me some pointers on how to chop wood since it was my first time and was watching me struggle. It's located real close to treasure falls and is right at the entrance of San Juan National forest. They do offer WiFi, but if you're further than the office, reception is spotty. Not a deal breaker though because if you're camping, you're really trying to get away from everything for awhile. The showers are nice and the bathroom is clean. And they have all these adorable squirrels and chipmunks running around the campground. I would HIGHLY recommend your stay here, especially since the pricing is so reasonable. We tented, but the cabins looked cute and the RV spots looked nice.

I wish I could give 10 stars! What a beautiful peaceful setting in the Colorado mountains, where there’s a small rolling thunder storm in the afternoons and nice sunny days in the summer. So many extra amenities like the washer and dryer, nice clean showers, firewood, water next to campsite (tent camping section with NO generators!) list goes on but the best part was meeting the family that owns the ranch. They made me feel so welcome, like I was a family member coming to visit. The folks that stayed there all had the same happy, loving attitude. I can’t wait to go back! Probably very soon!!!
