My buddy and I just got out of the Army, this was a big trip for us to celebrate. We paid this guide a lot of money for him to put us into a good spot for mule deer. Did not see a single deer for 7 days. He assured us that we would “have trouble passing on good bucks, but had to hold out for the big ones.” Then we went on to see zero deer. Completely oversold and under delivered. I am a hunter so I understand that is how it goes sometimes, and that he can’t control the deer, but when you pay a guide that much money..…and then you don’t see a single deer/elk/bear/wolf/mountain lion or anything for seven days…that’s pretty terrible. They were nice people, but I would caution everyone against paying them. I don’t normally do this, but again…we paid them a LOT of money and got absolutely nothing in return. I expected for him to invites us back, partial refund, or anything to try to right the wrong but he did not. If I had seen just a few deer then I would not be writing this. But zero animals, just squirrels and grouse. Again, they were very nice people but, take caution. I would take your business elsewhere.

Had an awesome time hunting with Bitterroot. 6 day wilderness mule deer hunt with son, son in-law and a good friend. The terrain is steep, but manageable (I’m 63 and a little overweight). Guides Lyle & Bronc were great. All 4 of us got a Mulie. Would recommend Branden & Angela’s outfit to anyone. We were also well fed by camp cook Sheree.

I spent a week with Bitterroot Outfitters. They will live up to your expectations. I had shot opportunities on deer, and elk. The guides work hard to match your ability with the terrain. Camps, food, guides, etc. its all there. This is a physically demanding hunt, be prepared. A great family operation that gets the job done.

This was truly a once in a lifetime dream hunt. The area is unbelievably rugged and beautiful. Brad And Angela are wonderful people and very competent. My guide Lyle was an absolute blast. Incredibly skilled guide, cook, Wrangler, everything and just a ton of fun. I did a ride in elk trip. The price sounds high to most people but when you see what is involved and how much they have invested you realize it's incredible they can do it for that much. They aren't getting rich that's for sure. I got an awesome 6x6 on the second day. I'll be back with them again.

I had an incredible experience hunting in the Frank Church Wilderness during the first week of elk season, and much of that is thanks to my guide, Danny. His extensive knowledge of the terrain, elk behavior, and effective hunting strategies was truly impressive, making the trip both educational and exciting. Danny’s ability to adapt quickly when the elk changed their patterns kept us in the game and ensured we made the most of every opportunity. I was also really impressed by how flexible and prepared the guides were in dealing with the wildfires in the region. Despite the unpredictable conditions, they maintained a positive attitude and made adjustments to ensure our safety and success. Overall, hunting in the Frank Church Wilderness was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend Danny and the entire guiding team for anyone looking for a top-notch backcountry elk hunt.

Brandon and Angela hosted us for an elk hunt this fall. It was our first time elk hunting, and we were so impressed by the entire experience. We joined Bitterroot Outfitters, Brandon and Angela, for a spring Bear hunt this year. Service was first class and they did wonders to accommodate us even with substantial snowfall a couple days before our trip. From base camp to hunt camp, where they are located is beautiful and tons of game. We saw Elk, Mule deer, Whitetail, Bighorn Sheep and much more. Beautiful place and will definitely be back. They do fully guided hunts or drop camps. Great folks and their staff is first class. Thanks again!!
