One of the events was a large fundraiser tournament and even though there were a lot of shooters, the event ran smoothly and on pace. The updated stations are great and the atmosphere is always fun.

They have also been extraordinary a out maintaing prices while other preserves have doubled! Also one of the most beautiful standing tall pine savannah courses.

Cart rental for 4 is$40, so$10 each, but our cart had no gun rack, which made for balancing your gun in your lap. Also pen raised quail.

I was underprepared as my shotgun was not...the best choice for sporting clays, but I had fun, did better than most that had better equipment than I. My buddy and I are still relatively new to hunting, so we were still a bit nervous going into the trip. But let me tell you, Brent and crew were awesome. Their patience and willingness to help us, even though we're still learning the ropes, made our trip way more enjoyable and educational. But what really made our trip special, again, was the friendly vibe of the place. The staff and fellow hunters were as friendly and welcoming as ever. Everyones willingness to share knowledge and lend a hand really helped to make our experience awesome. In a nutshell, our second year at Big Red Oak Plantation exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for an outstanding deer hunting adventure with top-notch hospitality, this is the place to be. I can't recommend it enough, especially if you're new to hunting like us. ★★★★★Had an amazing time on the Guided Quail hunt. Mike is a great guide and kept my partner and I laughing the whole time. Watching him work his dogs was impressive! And despite having an injured back, Mike was dead set on making sure we had a great hunt and he never slowed down. If I lived in the area I would definitely be there more often and I hope that I get to go back again either before the season ends or next year. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great time with a great group of guys!

They offer several memberships that can include fishing, sporting clays, trap shooting and day or overnight hunts for many game animals. This includes deer, Turkey, dove, quail, pheasant and more. If you are a shooter or a hunter, you owe it to yourself to go down and check out Big Red Oak. Mike and Lisa (preserve managers) are pleasant and knowledgeable, and can guide you through your first hunt or your best hunt.
