I can not say enough good things about Bent Creek. I made the 6 hour drive over from Arkansas for my first ever Alabama hunting trip and I definitely made the right choice. From the moment I arrived they made me feel very welcome. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Bathrooms cleaned daily. The food was some of the best I have ever had. The ladies that run the kitchen are VERY good. They made delicious meals for breakfast and dinner and every day they had me a sack lunch prepared for my hunt ( I chose to hunt all day). The kitchen was stocked with a large variety of food and drinks. The hunting was great. The stands are positioned in food plots and they are set up to be easily accessible. I seen plenty of deer and was able to take home my very first Alabama deer!! I have to brag especially on co-owner Leo Allen. He was so, so kind. At each meal time he refused to fix himself a plate until all guests were sat with their food and even then he constantly walked around refilling glasses and asking if anyone needed more food. It is obvious this man has a heart for service to others. Leo really made this experience top notch. I have been on MANY out of state hunting trips and I can say from experience this place is special. I left a little early because I had a nasty chest infection and felt terrible but I am already looking for to another trip here.

I’m a little disappointed because they left a few things off their website of things we needed to bring. Here’s a list of things I would suggest bringing: - low expectations - no need for a weapon because you won’t see anything. - your own stands because you may as well be sitting on a pile of rocks. -A TV, because it’s the most action you’ll get while in the stands. -Wasp replant because you will get stung in your sleep. If you bring these things you’ll should be good to go!

The lodge was comfortable and roomy. The food was very good. I paid for 4 hunts and only had two, because they said deer don’t move there in the morning. They did not offer at least one more afternoon hunt which still would have been one hunt short, but okay even at $425 per hunt. The box stands were the most uncomfortable and poorly designed stands I have ever hunted out of. A number of hunters there expressed as one said it was brutal hunting out of the stand. I would not recommend spending your money there unless the stands are modified which would not take much effort. Client comfort and ease of hunting SHOULD be their top priority. It seems as though the money is their top priority. Sad that people are taken advantage of! The fact that they weigh and age the deer killed tells me they keep detailed records. When I asked Leo how many deer they have killed this year he told me he didn’t know. Why would he not tell me, because the records are there. 😡 sounds like an intentional lie to me. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY I SPENT!

Very good hospitality, food and lodging. Unfortunately, though they have the most uncomfortable hunting blinds that I have ever spent time in. The seats in the shooting houses are wooden manmade benches, not a good fit for someone like me that has had lower back surgery. When I asked for a blind with a chair, I was told that they don't have many of those. If you are planning a hunt, make sure that you bring a good cushion and or a stadium type chair for your sit.

One of the finer establishments I have had the chance to visit. Exceptional style and décor are immediately apparent upon entering, with the take-your-breath-away sculpture gracing the courtyard. Chip, our concierge, had copious information regarding the rich history and services they provide. The private tour through town is not to be missed and showed us many hidden local spots as well as the traditions that are still practiced in the area to this day. I would have been lost here without a guide. I hope to one day visit this beautiful and historic place again soon.

Absolutely love this place. It was amazing turkey hunting on so much land! Each day you would go out with a different guide and all of them were great! The sweet ladies in the kitchen will feed you well too. I have already booked another trip next season. Highly recommend!!

Don’t do business with this outfit I booked last year before Turkey season and sent them a check for half of the deposit that was required and I completely under there terms were no refundable deposit and I understand that because people book huts and do back out a lot and ok so they received my check deposit and was ready to hunt and go on my booked turkey hunt and then bam 💥 it of no where did I see what happened next in my Life I received call that my mother passed away and my heart stopped that day it was just few days before being on my booked hunt and I called and spoke to man that worked in the office and explain what has happened and he told me that he was going to talk with owners about giving my refund money back and I really appreciated that and told the gentleman that I was very thankful and then I never heard anything back from this outfit and never got my check back or refund check and you know being that I lost my mother and I was just about to go on this hunt I made sure that talking with them at bent creek lodge that I would not even won’t to go there and hunt there and not anything against them it’s just something that did not go to good in my heart I just wanted my money back and that’s what was going to happen in 2019 and never got my money and you know what money comes and goes and if this outfit can treat another hunter this way after losing there mother I sure would not use this outfit never again now I am going to not stop here with this I am contacting bbb and a lawyer and going to post what happened on all pages and forums about this company until they send my money to me and do the right thing as a human being and hunter and I will post the pictures of paperwork that was filled out along with my check deposit so let’s see what happens from here everyone...

If you are seeking five-star, elegant accommodations in rural, west-central Alabama, Bent Creek Lodge is your place. The 24-hour butler service was a fantastic amenity, as was the personal chef at our disposal in our two-bedroom penthouse suite. My wife was especially fond of the rooftop pool and the hot stone massage therapy offered in the spa. Beyond all else, the cosmopolitan atmosphere, classy staff, and indoor plumbing were all unexpected delights. This is, without a doubt, the place to stay while visiting nearby Intercourse - a hidden gem of true Alabama culture.

My husband and I just spent the past weekend hunting at Bent Creek Lodge. The property is very well managed. The areas that you are assigned to hunt are well thought out for wind direction and the last time that the area was hunted. Every area of their 35,000 acres is a good opportunity. The management also offers areas that give greater opportunity for trophy deer. I highly recommend this Lodge and their style of managing their property. This is not a high fence outfit. These deer are truly free range, organic, natural to the area.
