Bearpaw Outfitters offer horseback drop camps for mule deer in rugged country, 2.5 to 4 miles ride from trailheads, to get you away from most hunters. This is for experienced hunters wanting to hunt on their own.

Availability notes

Hunt duration is 4.5 days for rifle or 6 days for archery. Archery season runs Aug 30 - Sept 30, general rifle season runs Oct 10-24. Hunters must do their own cooking and pack out game. One riding horse and ½ pack horse are provided for each hunter. Additional pack horses are $200 per horse or additional trips to camp for $600 per trip.
