Base Camp Outfitters offers guided, semi-guided, and DIY drop camp hunts for elk, mule deer, and black bears in Western Colorado's Unit 62. Operating on 160 acres of private land bordering thousands of acres of remote National Forest, they provide seasoned guides and a family-friendly atmosphere for a memorable hunting experience.

Our unforgettable drop camp hunts take place on private property, these camps provide direct access to otherwise difficult roadless areas to access. The camps are setup with cots, table, chairs, stove, and a satellite communicator. 7 days required. Five full days of hunting with an arrival and departure day on either end.

Our fully guided hunts are top notch. Operating out of our comfortable rustic cabin and bunkhouses. Meals are provided but you can provide your own food if you want to be more thrifty. Our hunts are operated as 1 on 1 guided hunts. We will give 110% effort and try to get everyone a shot opportunity on a branch antlered bull. Arrive to Base Camp Cabins the afternoon of day 1, 5 full days of guided hunting, (Days 2-6), Depart before noon day 7.

Our semi-guided hunts are a little different than other hunts. These are still DIY hunts without a guide, however we will come up with daily hunt plans for you and tell you how we would hunt it. You then go out and execute as you see fit. These can be out of a drop camp or out of the cabins.
