I hunted with 307 outfitters last season along with 2 buddies. We saw elk everyday. My buddy bagged a nice 5x5. Food was good, accommodations were good considering how far into the backcountry you are. Hard to beat the country - absolutely gorgeous! I had an unfortunate situation on the third day of my hunt when the mule I was riding spooked in the morning as we were riding through the pasture due to the free ranging stock stampeding towards us. I couldn’t control this mule and she threw me off causing me to fracture discs in my back and tearing my right rotator cuff. My hunt was over at that point as I couldn’t hike or draw my bow. I was offered some basic first aid by Scott, the owner. He never offered to ride out and get me to a hospital. Further, after the hunt he never offered a refund of the balance of the hunt nor a discounted future hunt. I tell you this to say, make sure you put thought into a horseback hunt. There was very little training on how to ride, so if you do decide to book with them, you may want to make sure you have some experience riding to mitigate the chances of a similar accident. Lastly, just know that if something were to happen, your expensive hunt will become a donation, with no care about your wellbeing nor professionalism or consideration with making things right.

Just did the 7 day wilderness pack trip to Camp Monoco. Everyone was so knowledgeable with all the history surrounding us and shared it. Saw bears everyday and some elk. The mules we rode were very well trained and taken care of. The food and tents were great. Never had a rug before in the tent. The area was so beautiful. Our gang of seven had a really good time with Scott and his crew. Years ago, a few of us had visited Camp Monaco and hadn’t had the opportunity to return until this past year. Scott and the crew provided an amazing time full of stories, trout fishing, wildlife watching and horseback riding. We saw numerous grizzly bears, some quite close and some from a distance. Scott’s crew of Kentla, Glade, Annie, and Tyler made it an amazing trip and the food was fantastic! They really paid attention to every detail, making sure everyone was comfortable on their horse. Highly recommend this outfitter!

We contacted Scott after attempts to book with 2 other outfitters failed. He was out on a trip, but responded very quickly. This was an important trip for my aging dad. He was accustomed to packing into the Greybull River on his own, and me with him. We would have preferred to do so again, but that wasn’t an option anymore. Due to Scott’s quick response and willingness to go to the location desired, we had a dream trip booked very quickly. From the moment we arrived at the trailhead, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The mules/horses were well trained and behaved. Scott knew the area incredibly well and navigated everything putting our safety and enjoyment first. His niece, Annie, cooked incredible meals. And wrangler, Glade, was able to bring us beer when we forgot it! (Don’t count on this, as it was a one off event!) We reminisced around the fire about old times and common Cody acquaintances. I will definitely book with 307 Outfitters again!

This is a must do if you are in the Cody area! Our family went out with Scott on a day trip horseback riding it was beyond beautiful the pictures don’t do it justice. I’m a worrier and I felt so safe out there with Scott he is a true outdoorsman and the stories and history he shared made this so memorable. The whole family had a great time our youngest is 8 and had his own horse and loved it! We have no equestrian experience and that was no problem the horses and mules were very calm. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing experience! Scott, Kintla, Heather and Glade made our five day horseback pack trip, one of the most amazing experiences we’ve ever had! Five reasonably close encounters with grizzlies, better than a dozen at binocular and spotting scope distance. Bull moose, cow moose, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats. Ample opportunities at fishing. Ample opportunities at unwinding and just enjoying peace and quiet. More stars in the night sky than you could ever imagine. The horses were very well behaved and very friendly, especially for our limited experience! Overall, out of five stars, they deserve at least six!
