Who are the best wild turkey hunting outfitters in Wyoming?

By Michael GiffordUpdated September 202636 packages$750–$3,900Typically $2,17525 outfitters

Quick answerWyoming's best wild turkey outfitters, ranked below, come with a deeper and more directly on-topic review record than most rosters on this site — real evidence to check before you book, not just a name and a phone number.

Top 6 of 25 wild turkey outfitters in Wyoming

Ranked on a credibility score, not a raw star average, so a thin 5.0 doesn't outrank a deeper 4.8.

How we rank: Outfitters are ranked by a credibility-weighted rating that blends each outfitter's verified Google star rating with how many reviews back it up — so a strong average from many hunters outranks the same average from only a few — then by the breadth of wild turkey packages they offer (live inventory, last updated September 2026). Prices, ratings and review counts come straight from each outfitter's current listings — always confirm details before you book.

How the order was decided

The order isn't a raw star average. An outfitter with a handful of perfect reviews doesn't automatically outrank one that's guided dozens of hunters and earned a slightly lower average doing it — proven at scale counts for something here, and the ranking is built to reward it rather than reward whoever has the fewest chances to slip.

Why this costs more than it does one state over

A guided turkey hunt in Wyoming runs meaningfully higher than a comparable trip in Colorado, and it's not a markup — Wyoming's Merriam's hunts tend to be longer, multi-day trips into more remote country rather than a single afternoon out. That's what you're paying for at the top of the range: extra days, lodging, and ground that takes longer to reach.

Where the money in a package actually goes

A guide and a place to stay come with most of these packages already, so budget for those as close to standard. Where outfitters differ more is meals and how many days the hunt runs. A few also charge extra if you take a second bird — a real cost, but a bonus on top of the hunt, not part of what booking it costs.

  2. Ross and Mike at Beaver Trap Outfitters in Dayton, WY were amazing guides with very productive Turkey properties. Three of us in my group limited our first day/hunt on a 3 day hunt. They were great and toured us around on day 2 and hooked us up with a great fishing guide for our third day…
